Friendly hometown restaurant with good portions. This restaurant is located right on the town square. It dates back to the 1930's and has a lot of history associated with it.

Good, home cooked meals. I was surprised by the wide variety of foods they offer on their menu. Lots to choose from. The restaurant was packed so I could tell it is a favorite of the locals! My only disappointment is that we received a gift certificate for their restaurant but they wouldn't accept it.

Great traditional diner right downtown. I was fortunate enough to eat with a local and he gave me a rundown in the history of the area and the Kumback. Only two owners in 100 years of being in business and Marilee(2nd owner) was working behind the till. Certainly nothing fancy but good quality food at good prices. Americana at its... More

We have been here 5 times or more and enjoy the comfort food. Hamburgers are big and tasty. Chicken fry, mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese is really good. Then there is the pies... have a slice of it first before you are to full to have dessert.

I was disappointed with this restaurant. Expected more based on the other reviews. Side salad and coconut cream pie were good but chicken and noodles BARELY had any chicken and the noodles were quite bland. The cole slaw and the mashed potatoes and gravy were passable. Service was okay given that I was there right at the noon rush. Looked... More

Nice atmosphere, but a bit tired and could use a bit of cleaning. I had the patty melt. The only flavor came from the rye bread and it was overcooked and dry. The fries looked and tasted very 'non-fresh' and definitely frozen. Staff was nice enough and there was plenty of sweet tea. It's difficult to find a non-fast food... More

Great place filled with history. Oldest cafe in the state. Try the huge burrito. The chicken fried steak is wonderful. Oh. And don't forget the homemade pies.

WOW. I was traveling through Perry a little after noon and wanted a quick bite. I drove down to the square and notices a cluster of cars parked on the north side. The theater marquee said something about food.... I parked and hesitatingly walked in. I was greeted very warmly and handed a menu. Shortly we received our drink order... More
