Not over the top on anything but a fair place to eat. Pies okay but dated decor and not so fantastic design

Restaurant is a little dingy and could use an update. The food is good and is a good value. Their pies are home made and are always good. Service is usually good.

Purchased strawberry pie and a coconut cream pie to go. The pies were excellent. Seven different people tried the pies. Everyone was thrilled.

Service is good and quick. I usually order the lunch special which is half a sandwich (choice of meat is always cold cuts, not fresh meats), choice of soap or salad and a slice of pie. I once ordered the beef stew and that was disappointing. The pieces of meat was hard and tasteless. Employees are always friendly. I ordered... More

The American Heritage Dictionary defines a salad as "a dish consisting of green leafy raw vegetables often with radish, cucumbers, or tomato tossed with a dressing". In no way can the dish served here be dignified with the title 'salad'. It consists of some pieces of lettuce including in many cases, the hard core along with a few shards of... More

I really enjoy eating here and am sad that this is the only one left in the whole world (I think). The baked potato soup on Thursdays is amazing and the okra is spot on. You get so much food with a Pioneer supper. I had a big bowl of loaded baked potato soup, a cup of corn, a cup... More

Stopped in together a pie. Decided on strawberry. The berries were very juicy an the crust flaked on the fork. Can't say what the food is like, but the pies are excellent.

arrived at 8:30pm. When a hostess(or whatever she was) arrived from the kitchen area she walked out and looked at us as if she couldnt figure out what we were doing there. We told her we had two in our party for dinner. She stated" Well....I'll go see if anyone is taking tables....." as she walked off to find out... More

We had dinner here and enjoyed it so much, we came back for lunch the next day! Vegetable beef soup was great on the cold day we visited. Homemade Cornbread was very good, dressings are also all homemade and very yummy! Prices are very reasonable, and suppers and lunch specials come with a slice of pie! Highly recommended- will definitely... More
