neat little place. Excellent food and friendly staff. We had a couple appetizers and the chicken fried steak (suggested by the locals) Everything was really good.

Ordered Caesar salad, not understanding that the greens would be fried as well. Soggy salad greens are the worse! Told the waiter I didn't like it. Didn't ask to bring me out something different or remove it from the bill. Not a big fan of Cheever's menu anyway. Appetizers, although good, are pricey. To charge $22 for two appetizers in... More

It was recommended to me to have the Chicken Fried Steak. I am glad I ordered it. The gravy is outstanding. The cheese dip appetizer was outstanding as well.

We went there to celebrate a birthday during Sunday Brunch. It was amazing...From the chicken salad to the chicken and waffles! We had a party of 9, but service was quick and yet, not rushed. The Bloody Mary was the best I have ever had!! I also loved the classy, laid back decor of whites and creams. Very French country.... More

Let's see if I have enough adjectives in my thesaurus to write this review...we started out with the Bleu Cheese Potato Chips, which were amazing! My husband had the famous chicken fried steak with jalapeno gravy. I had the boneless short ribs (fork-tender with a tasty au jus), my niece had one of the specials; a three-cheese mac & cheese... Returned with my husband to celebrate his birthday. I ordered the quinoa and avocado salad again and couldn't eat it all - it was SO filling and so good. He had the salmon tacos. They brought him a free birthday dessert, which was a pecan-and-chocolate-covered ice cream ball. The service and atmosphere are great, and we can't say enough good... More

Went for a late birthday and Valentines dinner after returning from a business trip. For an appetizer we had the calamari which the sauces outshines the calamari itself. One red and one cream based with a touch of horseradish. My wife had the chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy, which was a dinner for two by itself, and I had... More

I've been coming to Cheevers for years - sometimes for dinner, more often for lunch. I always want to love it, but the food can be inconsistent. Dinner with my husband last night was average - the braised short ribs were good, the chicken just "meh". Drinks and dessert are always yummy. The restaurant is very small, bordering on claustrophobic... More

One of our favorite places in Oklahoma City was selected as a destination for ten people to celebrate my wife's birthday based on our many previous visits to Cheever's. The entire evening from start to finish was excellent. We started with the blue cheese chips and an order of queso for the group to go with drinks and wines. Menu... More
