Went there for a business lunch and had their lunch steak. The steak was super thin and very bland. It reminds me of Golden Corral with 30 pieces of steak being cooked at a time for the masses of customers. Actually the steaks at Golden Corral are larger and had more flavor. more

I don't often use my guide book (in this case, Lonely Planet USA) to choose a place to eat, worrying that they will either be overpriced, have changed, or have got sloppy figuring people will come once anyway because they are in the book. But the places around our motel were all fast food outlets and I really fancied a... more

This is a legendary steak restaurant in OKC. You can't leave OKC without visiting Cattlemen's Steak House........you wouldn't want to. You would regret it, if you didn't go there, at least once. They have a great house dressing for their salads and their steaks are superb! They get pretty busy, so you might want to make a reservation, though we... more

I don't live in OKC but do travel to OKC about once a month. Found this place 10 years ago. I ordered a filet mignon and it almost melted in my mouth. Very tender. Salad with the house dressing and garlic crutons are great too! You get what you pay for and apparently the locals search out this restaurant that... more

I haven't been to Cattlemen's in a couple of years, but I have something to add that I haven't seen anyone else mention. They have out of this world hamburgers - or at least they did when I was there. I actually only ate there once. I come to OKC occasionally for business and a couple of locals had told... more

We are cattle people and have been around stockyard cafes our entire lives. Everyone should experience the Cattlemen's at least once in their lifetimes. Don't expect anything fancy because real cowboys and cowgirls are not. They usually have stuff on their boots and jeans after working at the yards. And, in the summer, there might be a few flies trying... more

It's located in the middle of nowhere in the "Stockyards." It doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside but the steaks are great. They also have lamb fries. My steak was wonderful but I kept asking myself if they fried my french fries in the same grease as the lamb fries. I'm not a lamb fries person,... more

I recently took part in a man trip down to Oklahoma City since it was a nice central location for others attending as well. We were determined to find the best steak place in the city and asked as many locals as we met what they recommended. Probably 80% or more responded that Cattlemen's was the place to eat. When... more

This restaurant is authentic Oklahoma City dining. It isn't very fancy but the steaks are great (not the best in Oklahoma City though). If you are traveling to to Oklahoma City this is a must dine. However if you go at lunch be prepared to wait as there is usually a long line. There is a steak lunch special that... more
