Great entrees but even better dessert!

The enchiladas were awesome ; the pork tenderloin with sweet chile glaze was sublime ; and the caramel cheesecake with sweet milk sauce was the perfect ending to an awesome dinner!! The service was great and we got seated pretty quickly even though it was Friday nite in Bricktown!

Stopped by on a Saturday night, party of 5. We all had entrees, which were served as ordered. The food was not outstanding, it was just okay. We were served a basket of stale chips upon being seated, we asked the waiter to bring fresh chips, which he did. My issue with this restaurant was the horrible service. A cluster... More

Abuelo's can handle groups of 8-10 without problem and most people can find something they like on the menu. It's slightly up-scaled standard Mexican food. The place looks clean and the service is fine. I found the food a bit over-salted.

I love this place. It is in bricktown within walking distance to the river walk. I have been here several times and would highly recommend it. It does get busy on the weekends though. The food is so delicious always what you order, hot, and very presentable. The staff are always very knowledgeable and friendly. The sangria is amazing in... More

My brother heard of this so we tried it after walking miles around OKC. The atmosphere was perfect and the staff was very friendly. The central fountain and statue was a great centerpiece for the dining hall. The chips and salsa that are complimentary at most Mexican restaurants were anything but typical at Abuelo's. Here they were especially crisp, warm,... More

Abuelo's has been a favorite of ours since it first opened in Bricktown. Not ordinary TexMex. Los Mejores de la Casa and the Monterrey both give a good sampling of several dishes. The Monterrey is huge, though, so if you can't take a doggie bag, it might be too much. It is literally served on a turkey platter! I know... More

We visited at the Bricktown location on March 7th. For a Saturday night, it was not too crowded. The service was fast and the food was great. Great location near the canal. I would definitely recommend!

My wife and I ate here on 1 March 2015 with another couple. I wonder why we do not eat here more often. The food and service is always so good and this time was no exception. We all were very pleased with our selections. Our waiter did a very good job of taking care of our table. He was... More

We accompanied our daughter to Oklahoma City on business. Abuelo's had been recommended to her by a friend. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food was great, and the staff were so friendly. We had the buffet, which was loaded, and the price was very reasonable.
