BEST RESTAURANT IN NORMAN

We have been eating at the Diner for almost 20 years. Unquestionably the best food in Norman. Whether you are looking for breakfast favorites (try the blueberry pancakes), to tamales, chili and, as my husband says, if you're really lucky, the best steak ever! Lines get long on the weekend, but... read more

We dined here as one of our Triple D TV stops. I had the chicken fried chicken meal with home fries and scrambled eggs, along with biscuits and gravy. It was a lot of food, especially considering I also decided to try a small sample of the chili featured on Triple D. The chicken was the best I'd ever eaten.... More

My wife and I had lunch here a few days ago. We had read the reviews and other info on how good the food was here. We plan on going back earlier in the day to try their breakfasts. I had a Santa Fe Burger with fries and my wife had a patty melt on rye. Both of these selections... More

While visiting family we decided to try Diner for breakfast one morning. This place is a blast from the past. It is a small hole in the wall with booths lining one wall as well as counter space. The biscuits and gravy is awesome and honestly everything we ordered was great. Looking forward to dining here again on our next... More

Go to this diner ....deliious breakfast and great service. You might even get to see the famous "Calvin Steves" and buy a paper. Try the blueberry pancakes , the biscuits and gravy, and any of the Mexy scram....making me hungry to think about it. Yum. You'll love the reto experience.

Mark Amspacher was the owner and face behind the Diner when it was featured on Diners, dives and drive-in's, but this place was already famous among the locals of Norman. I had the pleasure of working with Mark (or Spach) when his family ran the Southside Grocery and Deli just SW of the OU campus, now a pizza place. Mark... More

Well-made, fresh food. Atmosphere is old-timey, and the Formica may be original.... Excellent diner with a little flair.

Funky little joint, supposed to have great chili, but not impressed. Would try it again for breakfast. Very clean and wonderful staff. Hours are very limited though.
