Its no Juan del Fuego

The food is ok. Not worth the wait or the claustrophobic seating. The service is great. My coffee cup never got empty, or even cold. The pancakes are fluffy, the hash browns are nicely done. Its a good breakfast but i doubt i will come back.

Now this is an amazingly small restaurant and it is always filled to brim but the food is absolutely fabulous! We try to come here every time we come to Norman! My favorite is the Huevos Rancheros. They always cook the eggs as asked, an important item in my book! Their biscuits and gravy are also wonderful as well as... More

This 100+ yr business is tiny, very casual, good food, moderately priced. Enjoyed coffee with a full pot of cream at our table! Great huevos rancheros, spectacular home fries, first come first seated, and there was a little wait... Not long. We'd go back. You can buy a Diner coffee mug, nice and thick, comforting to hold on a chilly... More

On a cold, icy and rainy morning, we made our way to The Diner on our one day stopover in Norman, Oklahoma. The Diner is the best. The small, narrow restaurant with a counter on one side and a row of tables on the other is home to one of the best breakfast meals I've had. It is simple, nothing... More

I stopped here for lunch with a friend and immediately wondered why it had taken me so long to discover this Norman classic. Even though the place was nearly packed, we were seated immediately in one of the booths. The menu is a simple front (breakfast) and back (lunch), but my friend asked for a variation on the breakfast side... More

We are triple d nerds so we just had to try this out. Wait was about 10 minutes. They use the honor system, no name taking. Hubby had brisket hash and a side of chili. I had the eggarito. Everything was great!

We went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The wait wasn't too long, we sat on the stools at the counter and was right by the grill where the cooking was taking place....GREAT pancakes! Loved the food and the experience.

The Diner is a Norman classic. The place is always packed on the weekends. My wife and I were here just yesterday, and it was delicious as always. We like to sit at the counter and talk with the cooks. The amount and variety of meals that get produced from two people in a small space is very impressive. I... More

The best breakfasts in Norman are found at the diner. This is true whether you are a bacon and eggs, blueberry pancakes, or huevos rancheros fan. The decor is classic with booths and a counter with stools. The waitstaff is very friendly. Just be prepared to wait outside in line on weekend mornings.

I understand that the Diner can have a line out the door on some morning, but we got in on Saturday morning, at a bit before 8 a.m., without any wait. This restaurant is very, very small, and is an instant flash back to the Route 66 diners of the 50s and early 60s. The food is good and the... More
