This is my kind of funky place! it is on a cute little main street place in the old part of Norman. We had to wait about 15 minutes, but it was well worth the wait The staff was polite and attentive, food was great and the place was reasonably clean for an older place. I got the 2 eggs,... More

Diner has been around a long time. The decor has not changed in at least a couple of decades. It is also very small. Booths only can seat 4 adults comfortably...if you have a party larger, you will have to use 2 booths. We went there with 2 young kids and sweezed into a booth. They get really busy on... More

Saw it on DDD. It is a small restaurant, and we'd be hard pressed to name more than 3 other DDD venues that were smaller. (Al's and Colossal Cafe in Minneapolis are even smaller.) We had to sit at the counter but were seated right away. I can see how the wait for a table can get long quickly. When... More

This is a very old diner with the very old feel. I ordered a standard breakfast (eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and toast) and it was awesome. The only real issue with this place is that it is very small, so be prepared for a wait. I grew up here and have eaten at this diner more times than I can count... More

We tried this diner based on the recommendation of the show Diners, Drive ins, and Dives. We went for the breakfast meal. The place is super small and a party over 4 has no chance of eating together at the same table. Everyone's food looked great but my biscuits and gravy left a bit to be desired. The hash browns... Hole in the wall on Main Street in Norman, Ok. Lived here for 20 years. I've driven past it hundreds of times, always crowded and a line outside--no matter the weather. Stopped a few days after Thanksgiving, stood in line for about 20 minutes, well worth the wait. Ordered the daily breakfast special, on this Saturday it was, eggs your... More

This place is a gem! The wife and I live in the DFW area and come up to Oklahoma on occasion on personal business (one of the best custom boot makers is in OKC). This was the first time we found The Diner and we were glad that we did. I love old nostalgic places that remind of the "good... More

This is a Norman Classic, full of good traditional food and atmosphere. There is often a line out front, but if you are hungry it is worth the wait. Breakfast is my favorite.

~~~ Please know I hate giving negative reviews, but it is what it is! I love diners, but just because a place is old is no excuse for grit and grime. Food was fair, staff was not real interested in the restaurant or my Huevos Rancheros. Now if I never have to go into that tiny hidden restroom in the... More
The rating and comments reflect a couple of meals from diners in our group. You can read other reviews for info on the decor...but it really is a diner. The blueberry pancakes were full of em, like it should be. Pancakes were probably 8 inches each--a generous size for sure. My husband had the eggs with potatoes and biscuits and... More
