FOOD: The food here is really good. The combination of flavors is a little...interesting though. My sides were good and were enjoyed by us all. DRINKS: My drinks were fine, but my favorite part about drinking is the person I'm drinking with. That being said, the mixed drinks that my friends got that were way too sweet and weren't good... On an extremely busy University of Oklahoma spring graduation day, our party of 10 had an early dinner reservation at Blackbird Gastropub. Trepidation always surrounds this kind of event on a busy day, but it was flawless. Our table was ready when we arrived; our waitress was phenomenal and smiled throughout; and the food was excellent. Even on such a... More

I started coming to this pub after trying their Pot Roast Sliders at the OK State Fair in 2013. These sliders are beyond good, beyond awesome... they are unbeatable! The only thing I was disappointed in was the new addition of 24/7 parking meters out front. I mean really... paying for parking at 11am on a Saturday morning?

Blackbird is a great start to the weekend. The food is good and different with a lot of English Fare but with an American and much more flavorful twist. Great pizzas and their filet is one of the best in town.

Everything on the menu is enjoyable. We've had the shepard's pie, fish and chips, burgers, and their flatbread pizza. Everything has been spot on! Their mashed potatoes are made with truffle oil and are probably the best thing on the menu! It can be a bit pricy, but even if you stay away from the $30 plates, you're going to... More

This is a very lively, very noisy, fun place to eat in Norman. Housed in an historic old building in the Campus Corner area, the decor is amazing! It's sophisticated, beautiful and very comfortable, all at the same time. The menu is diverse with many dishes that sounded so good, it was hard to decide. In the end we went... More

Enjoyed a lunch before a football game. Great place to grab a bite and have a drink before the game. People watching a plus. Atmosphere is great. Will certainly plan to return. Service is terrific. Recommend arriving early as it is popular and gets filled up easily on game days.

This is a bit pricy for me. Entree's were around $16 and up. There was a salmon salad for about $14.95, which my husband got. I got the stew, which was good, for about $10.95. There were burgers that some others in our group got. The waiter was attentive. It didn't look like there was very much parking, except on... More

Now that Blackbird is here, eating out in Norman is way better than before. The food is an interesting mix of "posh" and "pub." I recommend the salmon salad and the chicken pot pie. The beer, wine, and drinks list is impressive and covers all price ranges. Service is generally very good, and the atmosphere is pleasant too. All in... More

There were 10 of us-- our table was ready with a charming waiter but we needed an additional person to help out. We tried the smears-- the walnut gorgonzola is fab! We did the bangers and mash with a side of jicama apple slaw. very nice. The venue is an old building tastefully redone. Within walking distance of North Oval.... More
