Best BBQ in Norman, this title has been iced-up by Ray's. Raise The Roof is something like your Mother used to make. Word to your Mother and Ray's great food !!!

This place is a gem. Ribs, chicken, hot links, sandwiches, brisket - just order - it's good. Even if we have to fight traffic to drive to their location near the OU campus it's well worth the trip. Last time in I had the hot link sandwhich and my wife ate their rib basket. It was so good we ordered... More

Had the 3 meat combo, smoked chicken, ribs, and sliced brisket. You get your choice of 2 sides i had the collard greens that are to die for, also had fried okra, nice and crispy. As for the meat, would highly recommend the ribs and chicken, the brisket was on the dry side. Very clean, and family friendly. A new favorite bbq place... More

We stopped for supper. I had brisket and my husband had chicken. Both were a tiny bit dry without the sauce, however, the sauce was excellent and once it was added, the meat was yummy. I enjoyed the baked beans. The fruit cup had some rather hard pieces of fruit. My husband said the Mac and cheese was a bit... More

Excellent BBQ sauce, sweet with a hint of vinegar, just right for us. I had the 3 meat plate, ribs were tender, fall off the bone, good smoked slice brisket, and smoked turkey, very tender. Side of baked beans that had lots of meat, a little cumin flavor, very good; mac and cheese was ok not my favorite but ok.... More

After having an unpleasant experience at a "well known" BBQ joint in Davis, OK, it's good to know that Ray's is nearby to satisfy my BBQ fix. Quality product at a fair price and a staff that really do care that you are there and care if you come back. Success hasn't gone to their head. They still care -

I have never been a big BBQ fan. Northern BBQ or Southern BBQ. But when I tasted Ray's, I was in heaven. The meat was perfectly cooked, the sauce was a great balance of smokey, sweet and tangy. The three meat combo was fantastic and my first try of fried okra made me an addict. Highly recommended!! The people are... More

We stopped here on the way to Dallas on a Sunday evening because of the glowing tripadvisor reviews. There are four in my family and we all got different things. Older son had ribs and double french fries. The ribs were very tender and he said they tasted great. The fries were good. Younger son had a grilled chicken sandwich... More

Local cops recommended this gem to me. I had a very late lunch, 3pm. I was the only one in there. But wow, the ribs were incredible. Added some corn on the cob, green beans and iced tea. I asked for hot bbq sauce and was warned. It was spicy as heck. I wimped out and mixed in some mild!... More

Based on other reviews, we stopped for lunch on our way through Norman. Not far at all off the interstate. Had the pulled pork and ribs combo; excellent. I highly recommend as a break from chain food.
