Description: Royal Bavaria Brewery & Restaurant was founded November 20, 1992 by Jörg...
Royal Bavaria Brewery & Restaurant was founded November 20, 1992 by Jörg Kühne,
a businessman from Munich, Germany. His idea was to bring the original Bavarian brewpub to Oklahoma with an authentic atmosphere, true Bavarian hospitality and the typical German cuisine, which has found so many friends all over the world.A 5.5 acre property was located very quickly and soon the project was approved by the City of Moore. In the southeast corner of the city at the 4-lane highway 77H (Sooner Road) the groundbreaking took place in August 1993. After the customary 5-week time had passed, according to an old custom, the topping out ceremony took place. The 8 bbl- brew house, supplied by HRH, Prince Luitpold of Bavaria, was integrated into the 5000-sqf building by the end of November.Early in January 1994, the executive chef Andy Gmeiner (also a native of Munich) arrived from Germany to supervise the complete installment of the kitchen. He then created the menu, hired and trained the staff. The Grand Opening of this beautiful brewpub in the style of a typical Bavarian farmhouse was celebrated January 28th, 1994 with an exquisite 7- course dinner of German specialties and 180 invited guests. In the beginning the brewery was operated by Bavarian Brew Masters. Starting in the summer of 1996, the famous beers of the Royal Bavaria have been brewed by Jörg & Karin Kühne. The outdoor beer garden, set in its huge tree shaded area that currently seats 175 people, was opened with a great festival in July 1994.Now in 2007, after 14 years under the lead of the founder, the corporation was turned over into the competent hands of Andy Gmeiner. As the new owner, his pledge is to continue to operate the Royal Bavaria, Restaurant & Brewery under the founder’s original idea through his knowledge and good spirit.

Here's the deal. It's hard to get authentic food in Moore regardless of ethnicity. Royal Bavaria delivers with a great atmosphere, music and of course their buffet and beer garden. We are here almost every Thursday night to enjoy it with our family. Glad they are in Moore!

Atmosphere very nice ,German music played low in background. The portions are big there's no way to leave hungry. The food is good, a little overpriced but worth the trip. Also have a buffet on Thursday only. Great beer......order the boot but make sure you have a designated driver. Overall a place I would come back to.

The Thursday night all you can eat buffet in the beer garden is awesome! Always great food and great bands playing. Very fun, relaxed atmosphere. Can't beat the beer and giant pretzel on a hot day!

Hi Kimberley S, Thanks for taking the time to write your review. I'm glad to hear that you like our Thursday night buffet. It is very popular and the jazz music in the beer garden does make for a fun evening. The buffet is a great way to try a lot of different items at once. We appreciate your business... More

I usually loathe German food, but perhaps that's because most "German food" here in Oklahoma truly sucks. (Sorry, but it's true.) I started with a wonderful Obatzda, complete with a beautiful pretzel. I worked my onto a delicious roulades -- just like it's made in Germany itself. Next came a SCRUMPTIOUS Chocolate-Orange bread pudding -- insanely good! We were with... More

The food here is really great and the prices are reasonable I really didn't see anything on the menu over 20 bucks. I had the sausage sampler my wife had a schnitzel that was covered in carmelized apples and onions they were both really delicious. it wasn't loud the service was outstanding, drinks never went empty and accommodated all of... My daughter and her husband took me to this restaurant since it was one of their favorites. The portions are large, the sausage sampler is great, my meal was the "Schnitzel" plate and it was excellent, Friendly service. I have been back and never been disappointed.

We recently traveled to eat here on advice of a friend. We have an exchange student from Germany and wanted her to experience the restaurant. We obviously were under dressed in shorts and tshirts for the restaurant, so we had dinner in the Bier Garten. My husband thought the Schnitzel was great. I had the spicy sausages and was not... Hi glmorgan, Thanks for taking the time to review our restaurant. I'm glad your husband though the Schnitzel was great and your daughter really liked the Mustard Chicken. I'm sorry if you felt the Bratwurst wasn't spicy enough and your exchange student felt the Chicken Bratwurst was too spicy. We appreciate your comments and hope you will visit us again... More

We've eaten here twice. The sausage sampler is really good. I don't like the fact that you have to order a bread basket separately. The seasoning on the schnitzel could use some more salt. My mother said all the salt was in the mashed potatoes. The spetzle was a little tough. You did get a large portion of meat with... More
