Party of Eight

We ate at the Old Plantation on Sunday, June 28th. Our party of 8 included us (the grandparents), three parents, and three grandkids aged 6-11. We read Tripadvisor reviews that portions were huge so we tried to keep that in mind. Ordered fried mushrooms and pickle chips for starters. Both were very... read more

We arrived for a late lunch and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table so we waited in the bar area which was comfortable but nothing special. This is an old building that still has the original wood floors, etc. In the dining area, they were out of a couple of things we initially ordered. I ended up... More

We had to wait a while to be seated but we were a party of 11 so that is to be expected on a Saturday evening. The rolls are great and the food was great. I had a chicken rice with sweet potato fries. I wish I knew how to make the fries they were so good. The waiter was... More

A quaint family restaurant in a very scenic Medicine Park. The restaurant is more family style so great for families with kids. A romantic walk along the creek makes this a great stop for couples as well.

This was the first time visiting the restaurant since 2000. We used to eat at the Old Plantation frequently while stationed at Ft Sill. The renovations to the building and the menu are wonderful! We had the starter of loaded fries-that along with the cold tea should have been our lunch, but we had to try more. An order of... More

We went there on Mother's Day. They were pretty busy so we did wait a few extra minutes but it was worth the wait. One of the orders was mixed up and the steak wasn't done correctly. The waitress took the steak and brought it back cooked correctly. The waitress made sure our glasses were full and checked on us... More

Food is pretty good, but the atmosphere is what makes it great. Building has great history and it's set in the neatest town in Oklahoma. The restaurant is right across the street from the swimming hole.

Tucked at the end of the shops in Medicine Park is the Old Plantation, rich is history and serving up delicious food. This is a must stop for family that lives in Oklahoma for the country fried steak and fried pickles. Let's start with the fried pickles......delish! Thin, light coating and salted just right, they were gone before we knew... More

My plan for a recent road trip included a stop in Medicine Park. As it turned out, we arrived in this magical little village right around lunchtime. After my wife made me aware of that fact, while easing it on down Lake Street, I suggested that we stop at the first place that caught her eye. Two seconds later, when... More
