This isn't going to be good

We stopped here on a recent trip with no knowledge of the area or restaurant. First, the food. The meatballs were edible but dry and the veal had good flavor but was chewy. Beyond that the salad was bathing in dressing, the ravioli and spaghetti were bland. The food in general was just not good... read more

Service was a little off but the food was wonderful. Since leaving McAlester years ago, I've never had food quite like this. Lamb fries are amazing, thin and crispy and everything else was wonderful as well. My only complaint is the cheese and bread they bring to your table to share. If you have a large party, one plate is... More

This place is definitely much better than the "famous" peters place I love the chicken Parmesan and the spaghetti sauce

I'm not a pasta person so please bare with me. Meatballs are quite good. Spaghetti was tasty, chicken fettuccini (which I had) was really good...lots of noodles but short on the chicken; sauce was delicious. Ravioli's were good. Service was good and efficient. Was pretty busy and the wait staff did a good job. Gia Comos is an upscale restaurant,... More

We went to Gia Comos on a Friday night. We were created and asked if we had a reservation. No we didn't but we were still seated immediately. The staff was very friendly. Anyone who noticed we needed a drink refill took care if it. My husband as I shared the steak for two, but before they brought that out... More

What can I say: It's delicious and Italian/Okie. I have been here many times over the past four decades, having lived as near and far away as NJ and San Francisco. The best fried chicken in the U>S>of A. The pasta is usually al dente, noodles and ravioli included. There are no appetizers or great wines, even the hot bread... More

Just because you are related to Italians doesn't mean you are an Italian chef. This is another unfortunate label for Italian food in Mcalester Oklahoma. If you are even remotely inclined to have Italian food in Mcalester, I would suggest going to a chain restaurant.

I grew up in McAlester. I've had family members work for Gia Comos over the years. They are nice people (although the original owners are deceased). Gia Comos has always had a following ... I can only guess of people who only eat the steak because the steak is ok and the calf fries were good. The Italian food they... More

Tasteless food and lousy service are the highlights of this restaurant. Bland Italian food that is overpriced.

We've driven through McAlester dozens of times but never stopped for a sit down meal there before. This time our schedule put us there overnight, so thought we'd have a nice Italian meal. Gia Comos seems to be fairly popular as there always seem to be quite a few cars in the parking lot, so why not give it a... More
