Good authentic italian

We have been meaning to get here and finally took a detour on a trip to stop here and eat. Interesting seating - we had a small private room that could seat 4 max. Salad dressing was simple but delicious. Bread was hot and perfect. We ordered the Italian dinner for two and it was huge. We had... read more

We are frequent diners of Krebs. Pete's Place is open during entire day, and most convenient, so we opted to stop there. We had an Unusually grumpy wait person, and I decided to order something I don't usually order...steak. I remember I had to tell her how I wanted it cooked, medium, please...because she did not ask!! Appetizers were good... More

Atmosphere nice, waitress - not overly friendly - more on her later in this review. Read all the reviews, as I usually do before going to a new place, and the reviews were a little mixed, so decided to eat there as we were in the area for business. Four of us ate at lunch, 3 had the sausage, as... More

Nice, quiet private dining for your family. Noted as the best Krebs/McAlester has to offer. The food is non descript and the ravioli is frozen- egad! My friends and I call it the restaurant that shall not be named.

The pasta was perfect as long as you love al diente. The ravioli was pasta heavy. Huge all you can eat servings. Super friendly staff. Only draw back is it is very pricy. You get your own private room so it is like truly eating at home. The attached brewery had great cheap beer, so if you eat and drink... More

Positives: Good complimentary appetizers, cheerful waitstaff Negatives: Overcooked entrees, pricey, out of the way Pete's Place has long enjoyed a great reputation as a destination restaurant. Given it's remote location, it had to be good. I'd say the reputation was more-or-less deserved in the past but if our most recent experience is typical, they now seem to be trading more... More

We have eaten here three times: 1967, 1987 and today, July 2, 2015. Each time the food and service were outstanding. Today he enjoyed very good lamb fries; I had the best lasagna I have ever eaten. We will eat here again when in the area.

This used to be a great place to eat Italian, but now is so expensive and the food is below average. We had the Italian dinner and got 2 tiny meatballs, inedible tough ravioli with no filling and over cooked spaghetti. And this was $17.95 per person. Salad was overdressed in vinegar and oil. We will not go back.

Ate at Pete's Place twice on 2 business trips. Best dinner we had in the area. Family style garlic bread, meatballs, ravioli, salad, and antipasti. Got chicken parm one time and chicken/broccoli/penne the other. Both very good. Not a beer fan but they do their own brews, coworker said he really enjoyed it. Would recommend!

This is one of our favorite restaurants. It is definitely a destination restaurant! Pricey, but you pay for the experience as well as plenty of food!l They feed you until you say quit! Very friendly. Our favorite dishes were the Italian sausage and the lasagna.
