Dessert and drinks!

We had an early dinner one sat evening at a bed and breakfast in Guthrie. We went out and walked around downtown later that night, and came across Gage's. We just wanted dessert and some wine. The food was good, server was very nice, and we were able to just sit and visit for a long time. We look... read more

Went here on a special occasion at the recommendation of a friend. It's located in the basement of a historic building from the Oklahoma Land Run era. The restaurant decor, however, is modern. Unlike many restaurants today, the tables are spaced far enough apart that it is possible to have a private conversation without feeling the need to whisper. The... More

Had two meals there - dinner and then lunch the next day. Wonderful service, but the food varied from great to horrid. Had a great alfredo with a just ok chicken for supper, and was served cold mush that was supposed to be a crab cake for lunch. The two salads - which should have had a honey mustard dressing... We very much enjoyed our meal at Gage's. It was an anniversary dinner for us, so we decided to splurge a little. I was a little disappointed with the overall ambiance of the restaurant. Not very intimate for an anniversary dinner. It is in basement of one of historic buildings in downtown Guthrie. It is very open and the only... More

The restaurant is in the basement of an historic building in downtown. Service was good. I ordered the Delmonico steak medium. It was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. It was served with asparagus and carrot coins which were tender-crisp as they should be. Twice baked potato was basically mashed with cheese and put in a potato shell. Could have... More

My wife and I were traveling through town and we decided to go see the old downtown of Guthrie and find a place to eat dinner. We pulled in at around 6PM. The restaurant is located in the basement of an old 19th century hotel. We were seated immediately as it was a Wednesday night and still early. We had... More

2 of us ordered the angus burger which sounded good and relatively fast. It was neither . Boot leather might have been tastier and it took forever .they refused to cook it a bit rare , which other places have done for us. Extremely dry and tasteless .service was slow and minimal.maybe spending more money might get you a better... More

The most expensive cheap steak I have had. Not a lot of steak choices. Sorta dark could not see well.

We have been to Gage's several times in the last few years. It is generally our "go to" place in Guthrie. Located below ground level in an old building in downtown Guthrie. Open space with wood floors captures you attention as you walk in. Steaks are good to great. NY Strip, Ribeye, and Sirloin are always cooked exactly as requested.... More

Found this steakhouse online by accident and decided it was worth our drive. They were able to take our reservation even though they were busy. First, it is in the lower (below street) level, of the Pollard Theater. We were seated promptly and loved the atmosphere. Well staffed and good service. The plum peach margarita was fantastic! The pork chop... More
