Where do you eat fish on Grand Lake?

Catfish John's is a local and tourist favorite. Owner Joel is quite a fisherman himself, and the decor shows the lake theme. Although the catfish is farm raised and not from the lake, it's still a good place for fish and hushpuppies and lake-like food.

It's a crappy fast food restaurant. Need I say more? Nasty fried, fried, and fried. I actually would have preferred mcdonalds

This is really a mixed review of Catfish John’s Restaurant. We stopped in here when we saw the signs advertising catfish dinners for $5.95. The place looked attractive and there were several cars parked in the lot so we figured this must be a good place to dine. When we got inside, we noticed there was a counter where you... More

Very basic décor - if you're looking for a dining experience skip this place/ catfish was good but sides were just ok.

Order at the counter, they'll bring it to your table. The catfish is quite good; service is friendly. We like the green tomato relish. HOWEVER, if you want REALLY good catfish, drive on into Grove to Your Place Restaurant for delicious hot catfish (cornmeal battered and perfectly fried), fried okra, yummy cole slaw.

Good, down home place to grab a lunch or dinner. Service is very good. Staff is friendly. Ate there twice on our last visit.

We tried a variety of things. The catfish was OK, but nothing exciting. The hamburger came from a frozen patty . The fried sides appear to be Sysco-like. With all the other attractions in Grove, I doubt I'll be back.

Our first visit and was pleasantly surprised. Great catfish, green tomato relish, baked potato and hush puppies. Will definately go again.

My husband and I both had the 3 catfish dinner which included a tomato relish, hushpuppies, cole slaw and choice of fries or baked potato. The catfish was very good with a nice cornmeal coating. We would definitely eat there again!

The food is goood! After we shared the eight piece dinner we had to go back and ord four more pieces. We've eaten at the catfish hole in Alma at and it is better but trust me it is still good. Enjoys
