Good food, especially on a sunny day when one can sit outside near the river! Great cocktails and pleasant surroundings.
Decided to try this place despite mixed past reviews. Good above average meal, not gourmet but tasty, nice presentation. We had fried oyster appetizer, salad, crab cake and sautéed walleye. Definitely more atmosphere and class than any chain. Pleasantly surprised. Location very nice by river with much Zane Grey paraphernalia, staff efficient and attentive enough. Would go there again and... More
So check out the health department findings on this place and you won't step foot inside again. The health department cited them for rodent droppings and mold. Look it up for yourself. Not going here again.
Muddy Misers was a great place to eat but had taken a turn for the worse. Food is not good anymore and over priced. The view of the river is the best thing going for it now.
We have been to Muddy Misers twice in the last two weeks and really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere there. The first time I had the fish and home made chips and both were really good. My husband had the hamburger and he said it was very good, also. The second time I had a steak and it... More
Good fod which is moderately priced, but the place is not accessible for wheelchairs. They have specials and a nice view of the river in warm weather.
Overpriced and just ok food. Not really where I want to spend my money. Service is ok not wonderful. Do yourself a favor and eat someplace else.
A meal at Muddy Misers is definitely a highlight not to be missed if you happen to wander into Zanesville, Ohio. This attractive, warm, well decorated eatery rests on the bank of The Muskingum River. With either a window or on the outdoor terrace, there is a historic, scenic view in this "River Town". The staff and owner are considerate,... More
in Zanesville for one night, a concert, found this spot via TripAdvisor, good choice. Very friendly and caring staff, including the manager/owner. Good post on the river. Good food, for a Zanesville type town, not a large city with up scale restaurants. that said, the food was close to upscale quality! adequate wine list for a one time stop, better... More
Thanks to Trip Advisor I found this great cafe for lunch. It has a wonderful variety of food on its menu, and the prices are quite reasonable. Besides a lovely view of the river the cafe has a museum of artifacts devoted to western author Zane Grey. Great addition to a fun day trip!
