His place holds urban legend around NE ohio. People drive from Cleveland and Pittsburgh to enjoy japanese in what looks to be an old gas station. Odd hours and small place but good food and Ken is great!

This is a family run business. Kan is the chef and comidian / philosopher. He and wife Hen run the Japanese style resturant. They are open 4pm-7pm but may be there until midnight as people line up before thy open and wait. The wait is worth it( although we won't wait more than 2 hours) Prices are $9-$15. Open season... The best teppanyaki style food anywhere. The building is a bit of a dive (former gas station) in a sort of iffy neighborhood, and the wait can be two hours or more, but the food is worth it. Be prepared to wait and stay a few hours. Go with with a lot of friends so you can have some plum... More

You have to get their early - hours are 4-7:30 and people show up at 3 to be the first in line. You have to be in the building by 7:30 even though you might not get waited on until 10:00. We usually end up waiting for several hours, but the food is well worth it! The line outside says... More

This place has the greatest Japanesse food and his atmosphere is great. Seating with other people that you get to know and enjoy talking too. The shrimp sauce and his special sauces you cant find anywhere.

When you ask the kids where they want to eat, it's always "Ken's" (Can) which is the owner of the Tokyo House. Along with his wife, the two of them own the place. It is a Japanese style restaurant. "Can" is the only cook and his food is the best! Large portions, deliciuos and served up with "Can's" sense of... More

This place is a MUST if you are a fan of teppanyaki style Japanese food. There are only 3 employees so if you are impatient then do not go. BUT, the food is top notch, the secret sauce is the best and the portions can't be beat. You will get 2 full meals ordering a dinner here. If you are... More

Like the title says, the best anywhere around. Only opened 6 months out of the year, the other 6 months the owner goes back to vietnam. The wait is anywhere from 2 to 3 hours, but the sauce he uses for the rice, words can not describe.
