Home-away-from-home in Wooster

The first-floor dining room serves up some excellent food. Downstairs, the pub has an amazing wine cellar and decent food (just avoid the steaks), if you can take the noise -- our server found it amusing that we could not hear him and he could not hear us once someone fed the juke box.

The hidden gem in this quaint college town is just a block from the campus! With specials every night, you might need to try every night of the week! From their $10 strip steak special to their delish jumbo wings (house smoked, if you like), there is simply no other place in town to get this great food and excellent... More

We have eaten at the Wooster Inn over the years and cannot help but notice how the quality of the food has declined to below average. The Easter Buffet was the last straw. The three bites of lamb that I was rationed were overcooked. The chicken was dry and tasteless. The vegetables seemed to be water cooked, if the is... More

We took our family to Wooster Inn during the Christmas season. One son and daughter-in-law are vegetarians and one son and his girlfriend are very much carnivores. Both loved their meals (as did my husband and I)! There are several vegetarian offerings that are delicious! The non-vegetarian portion of the menu is equally varied and delicious. The soup special that... More

We have been going to the Wooster in for special occasions for years. Yesterday we celebrated a special occasion at the inn and we were disappointed with the changes. First off, the dining room used to be an elegant place. Now it has a bar with televisions, bar staff wearing a t-shirt and dirty laminate floors all around. The Wooster... More

Yesterday, four of us met for one of our infrequent reunions over lunch at the Wooster Inn. We have always eaten well there whatever seasonal menu is on offer. But yesterday was special. All of us professed to being only slightly hungry, but each of us had an emotional reaction to one particular menu item or another out of nostalgia... More

The food is not spectacular, but it is very good, and served up expertly in a comfortable room with a scenic view. The wine list is not vast, but is very expertly selected.

The Wooster Inn is our favorite place to go for good food and a large reasonably priced wine list. It is a lovely facility with various dining spots inside and during the warm months the patio, with a beautiful golf course view, is great. There is always something going on from super wine dinners to special events during the year.... More

Ken B and his sons work very hard to make the Wooster Inn a welcoming place to visit for both locals, guests and parents of the College of Wooster, and those who just find the Inn in their travels. Very interesting menu, lots of local ambience, and a hard working staff. The entrees are very creative and tasty. My wife... More
