The more I travel the US, the more I say that the Mediterreanean cuisine that can be found in NW Ohio is some of the best you will find anywhere. The Beirut restaurant on Monroe St is the best example of that. Always a favorite to eat in or carry out when visitors come to the area. The food and... More

I was here with a group of seven others. The Greek salad was delicious and very large - enough for two people. Our party tried many menu items, from appetizers to desserts, and everyone felt the food was wonderful. I would suggest that two people order one entree and salad to share.

The Beirut is by far the best restaurant I have been to in the ten years I have been visiting Toledo. It is always very busy but it is one of the places that I do not mind sitting in the bar area and waiting. Sami, the bartender is very friendly and I enjoy talking with him while I have... More

This is an excellent place to get Middle Eastern food in an area that is known for its Middle Eastern cuisine. Toledo is a city with a large segment of the population that claims heritage from that part of the world. When one thinks about the type of fare for which Toledo is most known, it is unquestionably Middle Eastern... More

I have been going to the Beirut since the brothers opened their first location in the middle 70's. This, and their sister restaurant, Byblos, has the best food imaginable. The steak kabob, fatoosh, hummous, grape leaves, etc., etc, etc., cannot be beat - anywhere, ever. They even have amazing pizza. I'd stay away from the spaghetti, although some people seem... More

This tiny place on Monroe street has been a favorite of mine for a while. Being half Lebanese I want to go somewhere that has the recipes I have grown up with and the Beruit has it. Authentic middle eastern food that is worth checking out in Toledo

Recommendation: eat family style for variety. Four appetizers should feed four persons. You won't need to order big meals unless there are big eaters. If you order meals, share. Best grape leaves ever. Don't forget to try the Ara-yes and Hummus.

I think the Beirut when it comes to Lebanese food! A trip back to Toledo is not a trip back till I have dinner at the Beirut.

My co-worker and I ate here while on a service trip to Toledo. Upon first walking in to the establishment, it had a homeliness and welcoming quality, brought on by the choice of decor. Upon seating, we noticed that the tables are very close to one another, which was not a problem, as it was 10 degrees outside. I ordered... More

The food is always great and the placing a carry out order is easy and the food is hot when you get it home. My family from out of state always makes sure they get to the Beirut when they are visiting. The restaurant it s a little loud which makes it perfect for kids but there are tables in... More
