Sebastiano's has excellent reviews, so we decided to give it a try, for an early dinner. Quiet, small place, clean. Attentive server, fast and polite. Narrow variety on the menu, veal is completely missing. VEAL MISSING from an ITALIAN menu? No lamb, no eggplant parmigiana, no chicken piccata. Mainly pasta dishes, sandwiches and pizzas. Sebastiano's is a genuine family owned restaurant. The husband is the chef and the wife overseas the dining room and waits table. The food is excellent, great sandwiches (try the portabello sandwich) and delicious sauces for the pasta. There is a good choice of wines and homemade ice cream. It was the third visit last weekend. When we drive from Mishawaka, IN to visit our daughter and son in law, we end up a Sebastiano's. The food is authentic ... the Alfredo sauce to die for. Toledo --> Dining Scene --> Sebastianos Sebastianos is the best place to eat in Toledo. Little place, never crowded, good prices, excellent food. Light sauces, rich flavors, food come out hot and spicy. Service is the best from Tony. Friendly, not overbearing, knows exactly what you need and when. Drinks are top notch, easy parking. One of the area's best kept secrets -- I love coming here on Friday and Saturday, when there is never a wait. All the sauces are homemade, the lasagna is fantastic and unusual (with hard-boiled egg), and the service is the friendliest I've ever encountered. I had a friend recommend Sebastiano's to me. I had no idea what I had been missing! I highly recommend ordering something with the fettuccini sauce. Its a neat atmosphere, and the ice cream parlor is still in the back, if you have room for dessert! more
