Traveling inter-city by car on a Friday evening, Tony Packo's was pretty much en route. How could we not stop there, considering that we were hungry? The outside or décor inside won't blow you away, but the food just might. I didn't think I could tackle the M.O.A.D. (Mother Of All Dogs) plate, but my son did. The M.O.A.D. is... More

We went there twice on a recent trip and found it to be well worth visiting.great Hungarian specialties, like stuffed cabbage, and chicken paprikas. Our extra side dish of fried pickles and peppers, with ranch dressing, salsa, and spicy ketchup for dipping, was great the kids loved them. German potato salad was also great.Try the original location. For a real sense... More

I was first here in the early 1980's. People knew about it from Klinger on the show MASH. He mentioned it a lot. We went there twice on a recent trip and found it to be well worth visiting. The stuffed cabbage pleased some and not others. We all loved the chicken paprikash (although I know they spell it different... More

I drove from southern Ohio for the specific purpose of stopping in to try the MOAD, and I was not disappointed. I had to eat it with a knife and fork. Just be forewarned, this is not a place you go to have a four-star meal. This is a place you go to have a spicy bowl of chili and... More

From what I hear, Tony Packo’s has some great Hungarian specialties, like stuffed cabbage, and chicken paprikas, but my wife and I came here for the famous Packo’s Hungarian hot dogs, and we weren’t disappointed. Not only does the dog have its own special taste, but the “famous sauce” topping the meat---along with mustard and onions---gives this sandwich a whole... More

Being a native Toledoan, I've eaten at Tony Packo's plenty of times. The restaurant is always busy and the food is top notch. I'm a big chili dog eater and there are none better than those at Packo's. The signed hot dog buns on the walls are points of interest as well as the food. Movie stars, sports figures, anybody... Stopped here for lunch on my way to Detroit. I used Tripadvisor to help pick the place to eat. Thank you all! This location is right across from the Toledo Mudhens ball park so I would check their schedule before heading over. I imagine it gets pretty busy on a game day. When we arrived we were given the choice... More

Ever since watching Mash, I have always wondered if there really was a Tony Paco's. restaurant. Well, there is and boy am i glad. Waitresses do not come to your table. You are handed a menu at the table and your on your own. Pick what you want, go to the front, order it, and wait. This restaurant was empty... More

I came. I ate. I was fulfilled as always! Tony Packo's is a can't miss restaurant. It has been there since the ancient times of ever and I hope, in my lifetime, will never become extinct along with other Toledo favs. It is on my must list whenever I return to my old homestead. My repeated meal is the chili... More
