Decent atmosphere and good food

This place has always been a favorite of mine growing up. I like the location and the indoor lighting. I'm not a fan of brightly lit restaurants. The roast beef and chicken paprikash are good as well as their pickles and peppers. Don't get me wrong I love packo's but the reason I only gave it 4 out... read more

I left Toledo almost 20 years ago and this is one place I miss the most. It's a true classic and a must visit for anyone passing through. The food quality is good and the service friendly. Get a chili dog and chili and enjoy yourself!

My husband knew of this restaurant because of its connection to the TV show ""M A S H """...He was talking about ""Tony Packo's"" for a couple of weeks before we went....so I was really looking forward to going there....Our server(can't remember her name)...was mostly not very friendly...she was not rude, by any means....it just a long time to get... Having grown up in Toledo, you learn to appreciate a Packo's Hot Dog early on. Food is so chock full of flavor, it is hard stopping with one or two menu items.

We headed over to Tony Packo's after a Mud Hens game as we know it's a Toledo institution. We had no wait (which was wonderful) and the service was a little slow to get going but they were fairly busy so I can give them a pass. I ordered the Tony Packo's Feast which was a small bowl of chili,... More

We ate dinner here on our overnight in Toledo and it was great! Primarily a hot dog joint, I personally wasn't expecting much as someone who doesn't normally eat the American BBQ and ballpark staple. I had the Tony Packo combo with Chicken Chili that was so good that it won over my picky child's mouth! My husband had the... More

I enjoyed my return to Tony Packos for the first time in 20 years. They don't seem to emphasize the autographed hot dog buns as much as they used to, but they are still there to check out. Ordering was fun with the order taker bellowing out the order to the cooks. The hot dog and chili was as good... More

Every time we're up north we detour through Toledo to stop at Tony Packo's on the way home. These are not the hot dogs you get anywhere, these are Hungarian hot dogs and they have their own distinct flavor. The food is quick and delicious. My daughter tried the Hungarian Dumplings this trip and she loved them. The restaurant is... More

We went out of our way to eat at Tony Packo's based on a Roadfood review. The atmosphere was great, the food was a little disappointing. I ordered cheese on my dog, it was given to me on the side in a small plastic cup and seemed overly processed. The employees were wonderful, enthusiastic and helpful with food concerns.

What a fun experience! We spent time while waiting to be seating by checking out the interesting celebrities that have signed the buns located throughout the restaurant. The food came out right away and the dogs were amazing. This is a great stop if you are in the area for a Mud-hen's game.
