I have been eating Rudy's hot dogs since 1950 and have lived in 6 other states where you can get a hot dog, but every time we came back to visit Toledo, the first place we headed to was Rudy's. Comparing them to Tony Packo's is like comparing a roasted Chicken to a roasted Duck. They keep their places clean... More

My husband & I each got the #1 single dog with fries & a drink & also got a side of onion rings. The chili dogs were amazing! the dogs came with onions, mustard & chili (which as another reviewer said it is more meat than sauce). The meal comes with fat, thick fries, and a lot of them! The... Another " Toledo" hot dog shop...not as fancy as Tony P' s, but equally as good. The dog sauce is more meat than sauce ( very tasty), the fries were fresh/hot. The lady helping us was awesome. Had a Boston cream pie for dessert, which was average. Fairly clean place. Stop in- reminds you of hot dog stands of the... More

It doesn't get any better than this. Rudy's is classic Toledo Hot Dogs. This isn't really a "Coney Island" dog or a "Chili Dog"...it's different. It's a Toledo-Style Hot Dog. Just like Chili Mac isn't just "a plate of noodles with chili on top". If you don't know, or don't understand, you need to visit Rudy's and educate yourself. There... More

Rudy's is a Toledo tradition. They have the best hot dogs around and their sides are great too. My favorite is the fried mushrooms. But the very best thing they have is their mouthwatering delicious malts. No ice cream shop anywhere can come near the wonderful delicious malts from Rudy's. Everything they have is great, it's totally worth the trip.

This place needs to have the health department to come in there and completely go through it with a fine tooth comb. Walls are dirty, Seats needs to be wiped down. table edges are sticky, Vents are black. Hair in food. Kitchen help needs to wear pants not boxer shorts. Light fixtures have dirt and grease on them. salt and... More

It's a fast food place. What do you expect? White cloths on the table? Very basic average hot dogs and fixings. I'd rather eat at Tony Packos.

I realize that many Toledoans look upon Rudy's as a legacy or some sort of tradition just like someone from Seattle might look at Dick's hamburgers (I'm not one of them) but, while I enjoyed my meal at Rudy's I have definately had better chili dogs. The hot dogs are not natural casing (that "snap"when you bite) and the chili... More

Nothing fancy, simple but good chilli dogs. I love cony dogs being from Detroit area and this place delivers a decent dog. I also love the onion rings they offer, just the right batter to onion ratio.
