Biscuits were light and fluffy, gravy was to die for. Service was awesome, I couldn't find the bottom of my coffee cup as they kept filling it before I got there. Would highly recommend this place. Its small and don't expect to just walk in and have a free table....when the food is this good....you gotta wait.

We'd not been to Sam & Ethel's in years but stopped in the day before Thanksgiving for lunch...right about 12:30. The place was packed with people waiting but we got a table for two quickly and really had a nice time. The fare is rather basic but quite good. We each had sandwiches and enjoyed them and the personable service.... More

Today we decided to go to this local place for the first time. It took them a while to figure out where to sit a party of 9 people between kids and adults. The service wasn't even ok, the waitress looked like she was about to give birth to a baby, in constant pain and not even wanting to serve... More

This restaurant was kind of nostalgic. It is in an older building downtown, and it isn't fancy, but the breakfast was great, though we had to wait for a table. Figured that was a good sign that it was worth waiting for, and we were not disappointed!

Like eating in Grandma's kitchen, with all the smells and tastes that go with it. Never had a bad meal and the prices are great! If you want fancy, this is not the place. If you want to eat real food made by people who care, stop on in. Front parking can be challenging, but it well worth it.

I have dined there several times. Breakfast has been my favorite. I have also had a wonderful bean and ham soup there before. I enjoy that they have different features each day. It could use a remodel, it is kind of dark. It is always so busy so I think service lacks.

Sam & Ethel's is a good place for homemade comfort food! You have to try the delicious chips. Really everything I have tried has been fantastic. What is even more wonderful is you can treat yourself to yummy foods for a low cost! My family of 5 usually eats for around $25. Atmosphere is cozy and they also provide takeout.... More

We eat at Sam and Ethel often. They always have a daily special that is always a good choice. Service is quick and friendly. Living in Tipp City, we know many of the staff there, and it's always a pleasure to say hello and catch up on Tipp City news. One thing they offer that I have never seen in... More
