Return to Kotobuki any time I can. An excellent restruarnt as well. Enjoy, I know you will. Can have just sushi or meal.
The food here is very good and portions are generous. It is entertaining to be at a hibachi table watching and experiencing the fun of asian food preparation as well. Get ready to catch some food in your mouth!
I was impressed from the moment we walked in - easy to find, quaint atmosphere, very friendly service. I was even more impressed with the portion size (strongly recommend the sushi dinner #4) for the price. This was one of the few times I have left a sushi restaurant completely full. Also of note - keep an eye on Groupon... More
Loved the food although the show was a bit over done. Didn't like the obscene little man putting oil on the griddle -- especially not with children present. Good was great however and done to my specifications. Good, fun atmosphere at the hibachi tables.
Ok, now some people do not like raw fish. Ii never tried it before. Once I had it, I am converted. My wife only eats the cooked stuff like the california roll, but atleast she'll go. Nice place to go, many memories.
I haven't been here in a couple of years and things have changed and not necessarily for the best. The service was good and the food was OK but some of the things that were on the menu were gone such as broiled fish and a plain tray of Sashimi were not to be found. Having been to Japan a... More
I have been going to Kotobuki for years. It was one of the first, and still one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area for sushi. The y also serve a few Korean dishes, like Bi Bim Bop. The food is consistently good. Service is friendly and prompt. Atmosphere is relaxing.
We are out of towners who dine out a lot. Kotobuki is a cute place to have a tasty lunch. Service was great; the food tasty and plentiful and the service just great. We are not Japanese so we don't know if the food is authentic. However, we do know when we like the taste of the food and we... More
We have been frequenting Kotobuki for years. One of Toledo's pioneers in Japanese Food. If you order sushi, I really like it that they will include miso and a house salad. Both are very good. The salad with fresh seafood and the red spicy dressing was introduced to me by a friend, it is a nice alternative. I have to... More
The service was great and the food was good. However, the vegetable tempura falls short of most Japanese restaurants. 1 onion ring, 2 broccoli heads, sweet potato slices, carrot slices. Perhaps their other tempura platters are better.
