I'm a pork barbecue lover that has eaten the best from around the country, and the so-called "best" around Cincinnati, and there's none better in our fare city. Jim has perfected his own smoking process and created sides (try his greens!) that distinguish Jim Dandy's from all the others. No yuppie ambience or copycat grub offerings - just plain good... More

Visited first time with friends. Food looked like it had been sitting awhile. I had pulled pork sandwich, potato salad and cole slaw. Potato salad was not to my liking. Pulled pork ok. My husband had ribs, mac and cheese. He didn't care for either. Service not friendly and staff seemed inconvenienced when asked questions. We will not return.

We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food we got. Very good. Will be back. You can smell the wood burning. Casual which was perfect for us

Stopped at Jim Dandy's on our way to Florida as we were craving BBQ food. Great place, my wife had the 1/2 slab platter, and as many other people mentioned it before, it definitely falls off the bone. I had the pulled pork sandwich platter and this was equally good, it was swallowed in no time! Really good corn bread... More

So if I were driving past this place and didn't know different I would likely keep on driving. As it turned out a colleague from the area took me here for lunch. Good job too as the food is excellent and good value at that. Beware you will smell of wood smoke for the rest of the day!

I was staying at a nearby hotel and asked for a restaurant list. There was nothing special on the list, but when I asked the clerk for a recommendation she said, "Jim Dandy's" with no hesitation. I took her advice and I'm glad I did. Great wood smoked BBQ and a good selection of side dishes. This is a family... More

Best barbecue in Cincinnati! I prefer the chicken, but everything is great! 1/2 chicken w 2 sides and cornbread is 10-12 bucks... Which makes dinner and a leftover lunch for me. Tip: pay w cash for a 5% discount. Love supporting a local family owned and operated business...

Like a lot of people, I love good BBQ. I enjoy watching the BBQ competitions on TV, and that even makes me want to head out for a good BBQ meal. Jim Dandy's is not that close to me, but I had driven past Jim Dandy's several times, and decided to give it a try. Seemed like the kind of... More

I typically go during the week day lunch rush and get the pulled pork, mac-n-cheese, and baked beans. All are very good, but the mac can be a little bland, especially compared to the pulled pork with spicy bbq sauce. It is a little pricey for a full meal + drink, but you get what you pay for. Don't sit... More

I liked the portion sizes, the difference sauces that was offered was remarkable, the macaroni was excellent and who would've know sweet cornbread could set off some BBQ. There was nothing disliked about this choice. P.S. the Saratoga chips were wonderful, they tasted like a higher brand of Grippos potato chips
