I stopped here to try the BBQ. It tasted OK but when it came to value, I didn't think the portions justified the prices. I expected a lot more meat but was disappointed and left, still hungry. You'll pay about $6.50 for a plain (and rather small in my opinion) BBQ sandwich and over $10 for a platter that has... More

Don't miss Jim Dandy's when you come to Cincinnati. The atmosphere is perfect and you can't get any better friendly service. Pulled pork is amazing. Forget Montgomery Ribs...head straight to Jim Dandy's.

I have eaten lots of BBQ over the years, and this restaurant was just ok for me. I ate with a tour group and ordered a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, cornbread and sweet tea. The sandwich was not very hot. It seemed a bit greasy. My friends and family reported their baby-back ribs were not hot either.... More

I really wanted to like this since it is not a chain. It is few and far between to find a non-chain in the Cincinnati area. We gave this a try. It was ridiculous and overpriced. Way overpriced. I am a small woman and left hungry even though I forced myself to eat the not-good food I was served. The... More

We have traveled most of the country in search of good BBQ. We happened here on a recommendation from a team members dad. It was on the way back to the hotel and while we were a little reluctant to try this place we figured why not. 1 got the half slab/St. Louis, 2 sides and corn bread. OM MY... More

Had the pulled pork sandwich and was not impressed. Had no flavor. The potato salad tasted like mayo and pepper Don't think I'll go back

I'm a pork barbecue lover that has eaten the best from around the country, and the so-called "best" around Cincinnati, and there's none better in our fare city. Jim has perfected his own smoking process and created sides (try his greens!) that distinguish Jim Dandy's from all the others. No yuppie ambience or copycat grub offerings - just plain good... Visited first time with friends. Food looked like it had been sitting awhile. I had pulled pork sandwich, potato salad and cole slaw. Potato salad was not to my liking. Pulled pork ok. My husband had ribs, mac and cheese. He didn't care for either. Service not friendly and staff seemed inconvenienced when asked questions. We will not return.

We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of food we got. Very good. Will be back. You can smell the wood burning. Casual which was perfect for us

Stopped at Jim Dandy's on our way to Florida as we were craving BBQ food. Great place, my wife had the 1/2 slab platter, and as many other people mentioned it before, it definitely falls off the bone. I had the pulled pork sandwich platter and this was equally good, it was swallowed in no time! Really good corn bread... More
