This was my first time to Hickory House on a busy Saturday night. Again, I try to visit non chain restaurants and this visit was awesome. I had a delicious Bloody Mary st the bar while waiting for a table. when seated, the waitress Stephanie, was very helpful. I ordered a can't decide combo with a sirloin and ribs. I... More

A nice clean restaurant with a decent variety on their menu. Large size fresh salads and good options of steaks. Their steaks were of good quality and good taste fixed perfect to request. They also have an excellent pork chop entree.

Absolutely the best steaks around. I get the ribeye, my husband gets the filet. Both are extremely tender and so full of flavor. We both get the French onion soup as that is also the best around. We compare other French onion soups to this one all the time & most others are lacking. We've had the ribs too, but... More

This is a community restaurant that has been around since 1979. They are well known and a part of the community. When my husband and I travel we always try to find a steak or rib house with better food. We have been to New Orleans, Boston, Florida, Alaska, Colorado and many other places and nothing compares. The owner and... More

A WEEKDAY AFTERNOON AROUND HALLOWEEN We arrived late in the afternoon, just after lunch, so the seating was quick and so was the service. Our waitress was attentive, so we tipped appropriately at the end of the meal. To say the interior is cabin-like does it a disservice. The walls have the hewn-wood cabin feel, but they're clean and pleasant.... More

A nice place to eat. We were invited to eat here with family. There were a total of 7 of us in our group. The interior is interesting; it's reminiscent of a lodge. The walls are decorated with pictures that remind me of the wild west. It's a comfortable atmosphere with the seating separated into little areas. To a certain... More

We were greeted like family at the front door and our server did an excellent job of making sure our meal was perfect. The onion straws as an appetizer were delicious as was the pulled pork sandwich. Mrs GeoAdventurer said the grilled chicken cranberry salad was very good.

The only private steak house in the area benefits from its exclusivity. The service is typically prompt and friendly but when the place is full it suffers. The owner is typically of little advantage and less than friendly. The sandwich menu is overpriced by about $3 per but the sides on the dinner items present some gems, i.e. the rice... More

I visit Hichory House in Reynoldburg, Ohio on a regular basis. The food there is well worth the money. My favorite is the 22oz. T-Bone steak, with the baked sweet potato, and ceasar salad. Tthe atmosphere isn't as personal as it could be, but the service, along with the food makes for a worth while visit.

As usual, the service and food at The Hickory House were great. Started with buffalo wings....we requested they be extra crispy and they were (thanks for that). My grilled shrimp was very good and the garlic mashed potatoes were too! Our waitress kept our drinks coming but allowed us to enjoy our meal with minimal interruptions. Very nice dinner and...
