I've eaten here for over 20 years and I have always had the wonderful pork ribs. Really the ribs with their house sauce is hard to beat. So yes go here for the ribs if you want ribs. They are wonderful. Yesterday I had one of their small steaks (16oz Ribeye). My only complaint is that I waited so long... More

This is the steak you will use to judge all steaks you will ever eat. The steaks are grilled with hickory wood fired grills which gives it the best flavor you can get. They are juicy and tender. The small steak is at least 16 ounces and all I can eat.

The building itself didn't look like much, but we parked in back where all of the smokers/cookers were, and after walking in, the scent was amazing. We had ribs and steak. Ribs were like long porkchops - hubby liked those. The steak was the best I ever had. Definitely going again.

My favorite meal anywhere, anytime. Ribeye steak with their home fries and homemade creamy cole slaw. The ribs are great, but I'll take the steak!

Put the menu down. Steak is the thing to order, no question. A little pricey, but once you see the slab of beef in front of you, the pain is a little less. Tip- order the large steak dinner if there are 2 of you. You'll have leftovers!

As long as we have lived in Jackson we have made the hour long pilgrimage to the Scioto Ribber at least one hundred times. . We went there before the remodeled (ten years or so ago) and continue to travel there, albeit with less frequency due to health reasons but the food is still consistently the best in ten counties,... While visiting Shawnee State University several people insisted that we try The Ribber. Their specialty is barbecued pork ribs, but their steaks are also, apparently, legendary. Now I am from Memphis, so bbq ribs to me is like coals to Newcastle. It was also lunchtime and the smallest steak is 16 oz. So I looked for a steak sandwich (which... More

We were looking for some good ribs and had heard from local the "the Ribber" was the place. We were also told about their great steaks. We ordered the rib dinner which consisted of one, two or three ribs. The ribs are actually pork chops and one rib would have been plenty for me. We had expected something like baby... More

If your a local then you already know. For everyone else The Scioto Ribber is a must try if your driving close to Portsmouth Ohio. They cook everything on huge smokers right outside the building using hickory wood. You can smell the cooking for blocks around. I order either a steak or ribs (which are more like pork chops). Their... More

I have heard people brag about the food at The Ribber for years. The fries and mushrooms and the ribber fries had so much oil/ grease that I could have used it as a dipping sauce. The ribs which were more like a thick pork chop not a rib they were ok at least they were not greasey. The slaw... More
