I have eaten at Underwood's for breakfast only for over 10 years. I believe it has been through several owners in that time. I usually eat there 4-5 times each summer. Last weekend, we decided to to try it out again. All I can say is that it was not what it used to be. It used to look and... More

My husband and I ate at Underwood's while we were camping at the state park. My husband had the eggs, bacon, home fries, and toast, I had the pancakes. The bacon was thick sliced and the home fries were fresh and thick. The pancakes were light and tasted like cake, sooo good. We have traveled all over and one thing... More

We have been visiting Underwoods Grill for many years. It is one of the oldest restaurants in Port Clinton OH, and has always been recognized as the place to get the best pancakes in town. We truly enjoy the breakfast menu. We bring our Grandchildren with us, and the pancakes are the favorite with them. My Wife enjoys the Omelets,... More

Our group to large. Only one server. Slow ingetting the order. Salad greens were not at all fresh, wilted and spoiling. Soup was not hot and it was the strangest fresh home made chicken soup I had ever had. Made with sliced deli chicken. Ate crackers and very little broth and picket a few pieces of salad that look the... More

Stopped here for breakfast during a quick trip to Port Clinton and Put in Bay. They have an extensive breakfast menu of all the things you would expect from a small family diner. I had the special of the day - 2 eggs, meat, home fries, and toast, for only $4.99. Everything was cooked perfectly and the toast was outstanding.... More

There are no frills here, just good food and service. The menu is pretty diverse: you'll find a little something for everyone. Strongly recommend the perch dinner. The breading is perfect! The atmosphere is very "homey." We'll be back again to try their breakfast.

The first time I ate here, last year, our experience was phenomenal. While on vacation, I recommended this place to family. The place wasnt overly crowded. I don't know what happened but we ordered breakfast food and the eggs were under cooked and slimey, home fries and bacon under cooked. The waiter tried to justify the awful food but the... More

I understand this restaurant has been taken over by new management and we haven't tried it yet. It was a smaller, family run restaurant with a pretty average menu and food when we tried it. Plan to try it again soon to see what changes have been made.

This is a great little restaurant on a sidestreet in downtown Port Clinton. Recommended to us for breakfast, their menu selections are quite typical of breakfast fare. I saw one that sounded great...but I wanted eggs. So they scrambled eggs, and threw the peppers, onions, and sausage on top...and Voila! A very yummy twist. The owner/manager was attentive to all...
