4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013 NEW

I recently ate at this iconic Norwalk restaurant. The food was good, but not like it was fifteen or twenty years ago. This used to be a charming diner. I had the Lake Erie perch dinner. It was good. The fish was seasoned and it wasn't over fried. The twice baked potato was very good. My guest wanted ham steak.... More

We stopped there for supper after arriving in Norwalk. They were short one server, but our waitress did a good job of covering. My fish sandwich was good, the clam chowder was questionable (may have just been my taste). My wife ordered her steak medium well, but it came out bloody, sent it back and it was then burnt on... My fiance and I stopped by this restaurant to grab a bite to eat. We waited for almost 30 minutes to be seated. That was frustration #1. frustration #2 was that after we were seated, it took over an hour for a waitress to take our order. The waitress had to be stopped by another customer and reminded we were... More

My wife and I stopped by Berry's for supper tonight and left without eating. As soon as we entered we were seated but that is where the service ended. We sat and watched as numerous waiters and waitresses walked by and did not stop at our table. Then we sat and watched as two other tables were seated and then... More

I used to stop at Berry's for breakfast a number of years ago on my way to Lowe's Motor Speedway with my son. Breakfast was always great, waitress attentive and I loved that she called everyone 'hun' (well, the guys anyway). Love the old time lunch counter and the history of the building! Can't wait to go back again! And... More

Stopped tonite for a bite of food and a drink. I had heard the food was god but we will never know. Went into the bar area which seemed very nice, except for the staff. We were ignored as we watched the two groups that came in after us got waited on and served. We were sitting at the bar... More

Thank you for your recent visit to Berry’s Restaurant and The Dinky. The video of your visit was somewhat difficult to find as it was on Saturday the 26th of January, so we assume it was a posting time frame. The two groups that you had mentioned were both there prior to your arrival. One of those groups had been... More

Ate here early one Sunday morning. Friends and I stayed overnight in Norwalk so we decided to try Berry's Restaurant. Very historic place. The building itself goes back to the late 1800's. It was part bank and hotel long time ago. Old photo's hang throughtout the restaurant. Lot of hardwood and a tine ceiling in one room. Service was good.... More

The last thing I want to do when I'm eating is look at hundreds of photos of dead people on the wall. This historic bldg, complete with wood paneling, candle light at each table, and chairs that moan and groan, makes you feel like you're minutes away from a psychic medium telling you about your grandmother that has passed over.... Had a great perch dinner after a very unsuccessful day of fishing. Great service and the building was beautiful with some amazing glass windows. Check it out!
