I've eaten at Kay's place for many years, there was a period where the food quality started to decline and I chose not to eat there any more. After a 5 year break I decided I would give them another try. To my surprise things improved, my go to meal is on Fridays when they have beer battered cod available.... More

This is a simple family owned restaurant that is serving up good old fashioned home cooking. Nothing fancy. Lots of real good well prepared food. The service was excellent. If I am in the area again I would for sure stop there.

Had some trouble finding what looked like a good place to stop after leaving Erie PA and heading west toward Toledo. Then we came upon a truck stop and just across the road was a little cafe called "Kay's Place". We decided to give it a try. We were really glad we did. The breakfast was great, the service even... We had a great bowl of chili at Kay's (don't forget the cheese and onions). Our waitress, Tammy, was delightful and efficient and the atmosphere perfect. Save room for pie!

We had a dinner and returned for breakfast the next day it was so good! The waitresses are attentive and accurate, and lots of fun!

We had lunch with our group from Road Runners. Wonderful food and great company. My husband had their pot pie and I had their soup and sandwich combo. Very good. We had a speaker for our group on Maple Syrup and how they go about it. We had fun. Love the place for fish dinners also.

Stopped for a hearty breakfast of steak &eggs and creamed chipped beef on toast. The SOS was as good as my grandmother's and the steak was cooked perfectly. Regretting not getting some homemade soup and baked goods for the road trip. Friendly service and affordable prices.

We had breakfast. Inexpensive, good sized portions, very friendly service. The omelets, hash browns, skillets and pancakes were all tasty, exactly what you would expect. Though we didn't try them, they had many pie options and looked like they'd be good for lunch and dinner too.

We stopped here while driving through the area. Great food. We had hot roast beef sandwich w/ mashed potatoes & gravy. Could cut with your fork. Also had club sandwich/ Philly cheesesteak sandwich, both with fresh cut fries. Took pie as carryout. Too full to eat now! Service was great and fast even though they were really busy. Will stop...
