Great Buffet

Love the schnitzel, spaetzle and everything in between. Prices are very reasonable for the wonderful food as well as the surroundings. Definitely worth the trip! Oh, and their red cabbage, just like my Oma used to make!

How long has it been since you had a good cheese fondue. Because the Guggisburg Cheese factory across the street has the same ownership, the fondue is on the menu along with your choice of dipping morels like chicken, broccoli, bratwurst, pretzel chips and knockwurst. The beverage of the day was an eggnog hot chocolate so sweet and tasty. The... More

Every time we go to Amish country in Ohio, we make sure we eat here. We found out that it doesn't open until March so don't plan on going for Valentines day. If you like good fondue, then you will like this. The cheese fondue and chocolate fondue is great. They didn't have strawberry's to go with the chocolate which... More

We were touring the area and wound up here by accident and we are so happy to have found this Swiss Restaurant which also serves Austrian dishes. We had the chance to eat here again while coming back through the area and the second visit was as good as the first. They have wonderful schnitzel here (veal, pork and chicken)... More

On a Friday night my wife and I needed to stop for dinner and the Chalet was very close to where we were staying. The staff was friendly, the environment was good and so was the food. We would definitely go back and we were actually diss appointed we didn't eat there Saturday night too as we opted for another... More

Food and service was wonderful, reminded me of my time spent in Germany. The pretzels have become a comfort food, yum.

Sunday dining options are limited. It could have been our taste buds, but my husband and I were not impressed. Sunday is buffet only for $15.99. The salad bar was good, but didn't like the German potato salad. The hot food bar....the salmon was good. The fried shrimp was so overlooked I gave up on chewing. The potato pancakes were... More

The only reason we went there because it was open on a SUNDAY.. pretty much the only full-fledged restaurant open that day ( good business strategy).. They also have a world famous cheese store/factory right across the street.. so we decided to go for the lunch buffet.. The ambience was priceless, like rest of the amish-land..wait time around 15 mins-... More

My husband and I visited here for late dinner one evening, interested in trying out the Swiss and Austrian cuisine. It was a pretty slow night; however, the service remained top-notch. We started out with fondue for two made from local Amish-sourced cheeses. We ordered bratwurst and French bread for our fondue and our waitress also brought out pretzel breadsticks... More

Wow, we were looking for a place to eat on our Amish adventure. This place did not disappoint! Very beautiful setting overlooking the countryside! Everything I ate was amazing. We ordered 2 dinners and added the salad bar. The salad bar had 2 of the best tasting soups ever. Then salad was equally great. Lots of toppings and everything was... More
