If you've driven by and haven't stopped because of the appearance of the building, turn around and try it! The inside is very clean and cute. There is quite a good variety of sushi and the hot food is also very good. Service is sometimes lacking, but they are all very nice. This is one of my favorite places in... More

My co-workers and I went to Kai Suchi Cafe for lunch based on Tripadvisor's possitive reviews. I ordered Katsu Don and one House Special Hand Roll. I was very disappointed with both orders. The seaweed sheet of the House Special Hand Roll was very hard and chewy and the rice was very loose. A good seaweed sheet needs to disolve... More

Read other reviews and I beg to differ that DLM or other "sushi/burger/Chinese/buffets" places are better. I personally know and trust the owners. They serve quality sushi with exceptional service. They might have higher prices than some all-in-one Asian fare restaurants, but it's because they don't skimp or glib mayo or hot sauce to mask the taste of the fish-... More

I find the sushi here average at best. While some is good, on the whole it's ok. There are alot of great Sushi places in Dayton to choose from so I recommend shopping around. That said, it's worth trying out Kai to form your own opinion.

I had read some excellent reviews about this place but didn't find it lived up to the hype. The sushi didn't taste as good as I had hoped for. It wasn't bad, just not memorable.

I was reluctant to try Kai Sushi. The exterior is not your fancy shamcy place. I had to remind myself to not judge a book by it's cover. They offer exceptional customer service, great prices and awesome food. I visit at least once a month now.

my husband and i have always been fond of sushi cafe. it is one of our son's favorite places to eat. however, we went there on our annual christmas eve visit, and the food was AWFUL! and to make matters worse, we got sick from the food that we ate there - and my sushi had no raw fish in... More

I came here a year ago and tried a few a la carte sushi selections. I highly recommend the goma ae. It was served in a large portion (at least in comparison to other restaurants) and was very flavorful with a robust sesame flavor. After the goma ae, our slections included a spicy mixture of rolls, all of which were... More
