Charming pub-like establishment in downtown Marietta, attached to a small hotel. Burgers, salads and soups on the menu. I had the chili, which was tasty and satisfying. Along with bread and a glass of wine, it was perfect for a cold, breezy night before heading back to my hotel. Looks like they have regular live musical entertainment for those who... More

The Galley is lovely inside, very classic and cozy. However, the food was fairly expensive for what you get. I ordered a turkey pot pie which was way over-cooked and ended up being priced at $14. My co-workers all ordered steak, which looked nice. They said it was very good, but you may want to order a step-up in done-ness.

The Galley restaurant and Adelphia Theater is in the same building as the Hackett Hotel. This is an old but charming building in downtown Marietta. The menu has a great selection -- anything from it's special hamburger to steaks; and you will receive a hefty portion. Food was delicious, fries especially. Waitresses are well trained, kind, and take great care... More

We eat at the Galley frequently because the food is consistently good and the service is also good. We can almost always get seated within 10 minutes, especially when Appleby's has a 30 to 40 minute wait.

We were working on a project in Marietta last week and stopped here for lunch. We wanted something that was not the typical fast food. They offered some interesting variations on burgers including one that could be so hot that an "atomic wing" would be mild in comparison. The quality of the meat and ingredients was very good and the... More

Had dinner on the patio one Saturday night while staying in the area. Service was a bit slow to begin with but fine after placing our order. The patio also smells a bit like smoke (possibly because this place is a bar and folks smoke out there at night?). Food was decent but nothing special, especially for the price. Burgers... More

Staying in Marietta, while working about an hour away in the hills of West Virginia has been a great decision. There are so many great, independent restaurants in this town! On a recent steamy night we tried the Galley. We were torn whether to eat inside or out. The hostess told us to go on outside and if we weren't... More

We received a book from Marietta, Oh. It told how wonderful the little town was and it mentioned several restaurants. The Galley was one of them. We tried the Guiness battered Fish and Chips. It also came with what were supposed to be Belgian Waffle fries and another side. Our fish was very greasy. It was not anything special. The... More

Good food, good service, not too expensive. It has kind of a sports bar vibe, but families welcome. At night, they have local bands perform.

The Galley (with the Adelphia attached to it) is a watering hole that also has good food. Unlike many bars in downtown, this one has an attached parking lot which helps with the car situation, but it still fills up very quickly. The Galley has a more professional clientele than some of the surrounding bars.
