Staying in Marietta, while working about an hour away in the hills of West Virginia has been a great decision. There are so many great, independent restaurants in this town! On a recent steamy night we tried the Galley. We were torn whether to eat inside or out. The hostess told us to go on outside and if we weren't... More

We received a book from Marietta, Oh. It told how wonderful the little town was and it mentioned several restaurants. The Galley was one of them. We tried the Guiness battered Fish and Chips. It also came with what were supposed to be Belgian Waffle fries and another side. Our fish was very greasy. It was not anything special. The... More

Good food, good service, not too expensive. It has kind of a sports bar vibe, but families welcome. At night, they have local bands perform.

The Galley (with the Adelphia attached to it) is a watering hole that also has good food. Unlike many bars in downtown, this one has an attached parking lot which helps with the car situation, but it still fills up very quickly. The Galley has a more professional clientele than some of the surrounding bars.

The inside of The Galley was beautiful. it is in the remnants of an old river town hotel. Very roomy and tv's while you dine.Great beer selection. I had the ribeye and it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. A neat little gem of a place I will remember the next time I visit Marietta.

Most reviewers talk about the bar side of the house. I found it to be a good restaurant as well. First, the building is beautiful. I need to find out some of its history. Tall ceilings, stamped metal ceilings, a balcony for dining about the bar.....just a great environment. I had a salad, acceptable and unremarkable, and the ahi tuna,... More

Great place for family or friends. Wide ranging menu should satisfy most palates. Enjoy! If you are a serious beer guy, they have a rotating beer selection that most big cities don't offer.

The Galley is the typical town pub... The food is professionally prepared and always good... Seating is limited to the amount of crowd so get there early... Climb upon a bar stool or belly-up to the bar on a crowded weekend night and enjoy a drink... Nice downtown feel..

This is a very nice bar with a decent menu. The service is always good especially from the bar tenders. The place has great atmosphere with a good crowd and often live music

I decided to try the place out after a hint from a friend that they had "smoked gouda" mac & cheese. I was hooked! The ribeye is awesome with a side of the mac & cheese. WARNING-THIS IS NOT YOUR KIDS MAC & CHEESE!!! If this is more than you feel like you want they have a "Diablo" cheeseburger that... More
