Unexpectedly pleasant atmosphere

I was thinking chain bar by a mall? Sounds bad. Not so. On top of good setting, good service. We each started with soup – calm chowder and onion soup. Both were unusual, good – not very good. Our server rec’d the corned beef wrap/egg-roll so we ordered it. Bad. Hardly no meat. We... read more

Yes, we did ask to be seated by the fireplace in the back of the restaurant. But still, did it have to be so dark? We used our cell phones to read the menu. After ordering, the dark ambiance was fine. There were 4 of us and my friends that had their backs to the fireplace enjoyed the warmth. I... More

Good food, atmosphere and staff. Menu switches up each season. If you're looking for a quiet evening out, watch out for karaoke nights!

Came here with friend and was seated in rather dark area so reading menu was hard. My husband wanted a German beer and was told they were out; so he ordered another brand and again, it was out. Finally had the beer on 3rd try. The Pub has specials and on this night, it was half off scotch & whiskey.... More

We were visiting family in Ohio from Newfoundland, and they wanted to take us to their "Irish Pub". There's a lot of Irish influence in NL, which they knew, so they figured we would enjoy it. The building and dining room was lovely, and staff were very friendly. We weren't all that hungry but mostly ordered fish and chips and... More

I enjoy going to this restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere. The food is really good and we have always had great service. It is a restaurant that we go back to often.

We're not from the area and wanted to try a non-chain place, or at least a new to us place. The food was excellent, we started off with some Loaded Pub Chips and they were delicious, we had to force ourselves to stop eating them because we were filling up on them. I had the Beef Stew and it was... More

Hadn't been there in about a year but we went as part of the Legacy Village Restaurant week. The place was pretty empty when we arrived (5:30 p.m.) but we waited well over 5 minutes until someone came out of the kitchen. We were seated in the room by the fireplace which was warm and cozy....and dirty. The table was... More

I've been to this restaurant with my kids three times. Latest visit was just ok. Although I have to say our server was very good. At the time she had our table and three others, two where groups of 8+. She was very attentive and polite. Now to the reason for my review; I've never had a salad at this... More

My 10th visit (though it's been a few months). Most things on the menu are comfort/treat type foods. Went here for my birthday with wife and tween daughter. Our server Alan was excellent! Friendly, efficient, knowledgable, humorous and polite. I had one beer (of which there are many good choices). Alan asked as my glass level became low if I... More
