Friends tell me they haven't eaten in this well-kept secret because they thought it was just a truck stop. You couldn't be further from the truth - It's more like Cheers than Mel's. I think they get a bad rap because they're located just off I-71, and there is ample parking for semis. Trucks are certainly welcome, but so is... More

Stopped on our way home from a long trip. Country fried steak is awesome, very flavorful veggie soup. Service was really good too!

So the breakfast and the condition of this place were just so so. But the jam at this place is amazing. I left with 2 extra jars for my wife. I love this place for breakfast but I really come for the jam.

My first visit since the winter past. Usually we eat there 2-3 times a week in the summer & fall. I ordered the large 4-egg, ham, fried potatoes, gravy & biscuits plus coffee. My wife had 2-eggs, fried potatoes and a biscuit plus coffee. Our food was cold as I watched it lay in the window for over 7 minutes... More

Old school diner that is one of the gems of the area. Serving good, fresh old school comfort food. Friday fish fry, fried chicken, chick fried steak, hamburgers, pork loin sammich, fies, pies, mashed potatoes, fish and chips and THE #1 coleslaw of all time. DaMama loves her chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and double coleslaw. DaPapa always finds something... More

We went there because we knew they had filmed parts of a Hallmark Movie there. It was terrible. Very dirty, very old. Food was horrid. Service was terrible. People were loud and crude. Would never go back.

Stopped for gas across the street and asked the clerk if the shaky looking place next door had good food. I could tell by the way her eyes lit up that her response of, "Ohhh yesss" really meant something. The place looked like a small truck stop but seemed to be filled with locals including families out for a Sunday... More

This is the third time my family and I have eaten at this restaurant. It isn't fancy and if you judge it by the exterior, you might just pass it right by. But take the time and stop in and you'll surely have an excellent meal. Today's special was the chopped steak and my 10 year old loved it. I... More

Skip all the fast food-try this place! Inexpensive but great food. Friendly and helpful staff. As others have already stated breakfast here is a real treat- food properly prepared, fresh and hot! The ham breakfast was outstanding and we had to bring home some of the homemade blackberry jam. The stuffed pork chop special was delicious-moist, great stuffing and gravy.... More

Great breakfast with prepared sliced home fries--not the frozen shredded type served elsewhere. Food came quick after ordering. Do sample the homemade jam which is available in jars, Wow!
