We rode the train today and followed it up with a lunch at the Village Ice Cream Parlor . Now we are locals so we have eaten here before but it just seemed right to eat at this lovely old fashioned place after riding the historic train . The food is always good . Nothing fancy but good . Great... More

This place is a like an old time ice cream parlor. It also has a variety of food items, not just ice cream. It is very, very good.

I used to accompany my mother to the parlor when I was 10. I sat for an hour, carefully eating the most delicious hot fudge sundae made with Hershey's ice cream... I STILL treat myself to those sundaes 30 years later! Born of Lebanon ingenuity (several businessmen put up the funds to open the parlor at a time that the... More

Went here in the winter month because I was craving some ice cream! It wasn't really anything special, just the usual flavors and you can make it a sundae or milkshake, whatever floats your boat! They also have the usual diner foods, hamburgers, fries, etc. I only had the ice cream so I cannot comment on the actual food. I... More

Cute traditional ice cream parlor with old fashioned ice cream treats, great home made pie and even phosphates! They have a tiny salad bar and some delicious soups. Great sandwiches including old favorites like pimento cheese, burgers, cottage cheese and the like. The tables are original old fashioned marble tables and cast iron chairs. Charming. The servers are mature, efficient... More

We stopped in today for a bite to eat. I had the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup combo. The chicken salad was excellent on rye bread toasted. My companion had the grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. It was also good. The barley soup was just fair. It is an interesting place with local flavor and has lots of dessert... More

We stopped here for lunch after taking a ride on the LM&M train. The food and desserts were great and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely visit again!
