Most of the sandwiches are designated as grilled cheese. They are a regular type sandwich with cheese on them. They look large because of the "Texas" type toast they are on. Nothing special about them unless you like to eat a lot of "junk" and unhealthy food. The meat on the Cleveland Cheese Steak was tough and could only eat... More

All of the food at Melt is made for large appetites, so be sure to arrive starving. Since we visited during the holidays, and were already testing the limits of our stomach capacity, it was a losing proposition. The pierogie appetizer was just enough for me, 2 pierogie with onion and cabbage, of course. A Wake and Bacon, After School... More

For whatever reason, they don't accept reservations. I don't know why, but they don't, so there is always a wait. An hour wait is very good. Very, very good. We've waited upwards of two hours before. Why wait that long? The food. I can only eat Monte Cristo's at Melt because theirs are just so darn awesome. I've never tried... More

We had lunch on a weekday, service was quite fast considering the place was packed. Soup was delicious and the sandwich was yummy that I almost finished it (it was a really big serving!). For picky people, this one's a great place, you get to choose your own sandwich and salad dressing and cheeses, and a wide variety of them... More

I had the opportunity for lunch here several years ago while on business. I have also eaten at the Independence location, but I feel that nothing beats the original experience of the Lakewood flagship! I returned today and took my family with me. A tip: we arrived at opening (11:00) on a weekday to avoid the long wait. We skipped... More

This was my family's first visit to Melt-- though we had heard and read about it many times. We arrived around 11:30 on a Sunday and were seated right away. Our waitress welcomed us and explained the menu- as we were first timers. I ordered the purple Parma- the vegan version. It was fantastic! There is no way anyone would... More

The key to not having to wait a long time is to go on weekdays at odd ball hours. We went on a Tuesday at 8:30pm and only waited 15 mins. The food is overrated but I still think it's good. I got the Parmageddon and it was good as well as the fries that came with it. The service... More

The wait is so long. The restaurant is very popular and there are many tables which are very tightly packed. There is always a wait for getting a table. We wait about an hour every time we eat here. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the fried Twinkies. Every time, I order the same meal: the Monte Cristo sandwich.... More

Heard so much about this place over the years so I had to try it. Ordered the backyard BBQ sandwich, and it was pretty good but too much bread which made it a little dry. It wasn't bad, but don't get all the hype about this place

I was recommended by a local about this place for the grilled cheese sandwich and I was not disappointed at all. It is one of the best grilled cheese sandwich I have ever put in my mouth. The ambience of the place is great. If you enjoy watching sports game with a couple of buddies over a meal, this is... More
