Melt is definitely a restaurant that you need to feast at while visiting Cleveland, Ohio. They present you with a giant "grilled cheese" stuffed between two massive slices of texas toast. The variety of sandwiches is extensive with some great flavor combinations available. I highly recommend getting the buffalo chicken if you're a bleu cheese lover. They also offer the... More

This was suggest by several people on our road trip from a employee at Cedar Point to the hotel staff at the Doubletree in Cleveland. We love the "local" hangouts. This is a must, come with a big appetite. The Buffalo Chicken soup was amazing. We could test the ingredients individually. We also split a sandwich, can't remember which one... More

Worth the wait no matter how long. Drove an hour out of the way to stop for lunch on a family trip to Sandusky. Melt was the best part of the entire trip.

Busy place, I just sat at the bar. Wasn't sure what to get, so the guy next to me just said, "Get the pig roast." Wow! Really, really good! Spicy heat, with sweet potatoes and pulled pork in a sandwich so big you're not really sure how to get it in your mouth. The 'tater salad was great too.

Stopped here while traveling because of DDD, very cool inside, excellent wait staff. Parking ok, there is a lot behind. Easy to find. Food, to start the is a LOT, consider splitting a sandwich. Somewhat greasy but it is based on grilled cheese. Very noisy inside. Overall I think I like the idea of this place more than the place,... More

I read this was the best in Cleveland, so it was my only "big meal". I sat at the bar since there was a line otherwise. My waiter/bartender was very friendly. I ordered the Monte Cristo on his recommendation. Highly overrated. Way too much bread and nothing to brag about. I didn't care for the preserves that were served with... More

My fiancé and I were driving from Detroit area to Erie and we're looking for a great place to eat in Cleveland. We read good reviews and wanted to experience it ourselves. It was easy to find and a nice area. The atmosphere was neat and the service was good. The food was the best part. Yummy soup, grilled cheese... More

Took my son to melt for his 16th birthday. It was time and we were not disappointed. The sandwiches were huge and delicious! Our waitress was attentive keeping our drinks filled. We will go back to try more grilled cheese variations!

I've been solicited for a review. Don't usually review restaurants I don't care for, so I'll be brief. I feel violated every time I eat here. It's like upscale McDonalds.
