Description: Pier W, a landmark Cleveland restaurant, has been serving a critically acclaimed seafood and contemporary menu since May 11, 1965. Having recently undergone a $3 million interior renovation, the new Pier W resembles a sophisticated luxury liner cantilevered over Lake Erie offering dramatic views of both the Lake and the downtown Cleveland skyline. We would like to request that shorts, flip flops and baseball caps are not worn to the restaurant.

Got there for happy hour - super bar menu, wonderful calamari and mussels, but the dinner was something very special. Tremendous view of Lake Erie and the city of Cleveland with its glistening lights. The lobster bisque was to die for and wonderfully presented. The scallops were some of the best i've ever had. I finished with an Espresso Martini... More

Pier W has been around for a very long time. It is situated right on the lake with beautiful views. While it is not easy to get to (Lakewood/Rocky River never are), it is a nice trip and a great "date night" option. Also great for a girls night out. The atmosphere is sophisticated and quiet. While the menu is... More

Had a special occasion dinner here and was not disappointed. The starter of raw oysters was superb. We all thought the food was excellent, I had the tuna which was perfectly prepared. The service was friendly and professional and we were lucky enough to be seated next to the window with a wonderful view across Lake Erie to downtown Cleveland... More

We love Pier W. We actually live in the building where Pier W is located. It's very convenient for us to have lunch or dinner any time. The staff is extremely accommodating and so very pleasant. The food is fresh and very high quality. I would say that Pier W is in the top five of fine dining in Cleveland.... More

We were looking for good places to eat with a lake view and found good reviews for this place and decided to try it. It was not a busy day with empty 2/3 of tables and our waitress was average and acceptable. Pos: nice lake view Cons: calamari had smell of old burned cooking oil! Mahimahi was uncooked and no... We dined here with friends on a Tuesday evening. Two of us enjoyed the Tenderloin Medallions which were excellent. Another had Filet Mignon, both tender and tasty. The final selection was Walleye Tempura in a lovely presentation. Unfortunately, the food preparation failed to match the presentation. Dinner costs are at the high end. The wait staff was far above the... More

We had another great dinner here. The food and service was top notch and the view was outstanding as always. This is a great dinner location! We also had brunch here last weekend which was just ok. I will start by saying that the spread of food is awesome! They have a breakfast, dinner and dessert line. All 3 are... More

This restaurant is a great place for dinner. The seafood was very good. Be prepared to spend money. The average price per plate is $25 to $35. This place is so unique being built on the side of a cliff. From most tables there is a wonderful view of the downtown Cleveland skyline. The wait staff is very attentive and... More

I have been going here with my family since I was a child. Always a great atmosphere, with very dark wood, and a definite nautical feel to it. Then about 10 years ago, they completely renovated and updated it, and I couldn't believe it could be better, but it is. What's nice now is that there isn't a bad seat... More

The restaurant overlooks Lake Erie...beautiful view of the lake and the Cleveland skyline. We had been looking forward to a night at Pier W for years. What a letdown. The server was great. Nothing that transpired was her fault. Everything that we ordered was over-salted. It's seafood, right? The salt is already there...plus, that's why that salt shaker is on... More
