Best Colombian food you can get in Northern Ohio

After traveling to Colombia in the past, I fell in love with the empanadas. I came home and tried them everywhere. Barroco's empanadas taste like the ones on the streets of Bogota. Really! The aji is wonderful too. We also love the cheesy corn with arapas. Very filling and yummy!

Certainly nothing fancy, but great food that is unique to this area! We ate a late lunch there, and it was nice and quiet in the afternoon. Their signature dish, arepas, are amazingly tasty, and the sweet plantains were the best I've had this side of Miami! My wife had chicken fajitas with small cheese arepas...great too. Only one onsite... More

We read the reviews on Trip Adviser, and we were not disappointed on our first visit to Barroco Grill. Our server helped us make menu selections. We highly recommend the chessy corn appetizer and the black bean soup. The chicken selection in the corn wrapper was excellent and was enhanced with the five sauce selections. The staff was friendly and... More

My husband immigrated here from Colombia and we are always looking for equivalents to the dishes he's used to in Bogota. We had a couple of the dishes here and they were great! He also liked talking to the workers who were also from Colombia. Nice atmosphere!

This resturaunt was truly spectacular. Not only was the foood outstanding, but the atmosphere vibrancy and service beyond anything I could have asked for. We've been to South America many times, and I would say the food. is both authentic and extremely well-prepared. Price was VERY reasonable.

We went to Barroco and had some great arepas. The staff was helpful and attentive and the food was delicious. The price was reasonable and they brought out about 5 different salsas to try. We will definitely be back.

The food was very fresh, different than Mexican food. More like Cuban fare. We ate on the outdoor patio in the back, which was a nice option for a cool summer evening. Service was excellent. Try all four sauces they give you with your meal--each one is unique.

We love this place. The arepas are so good and the service is great. We also have tried the huevos rancheros and were pleased.

Tried this placed based on a suggestion from my mother-in-law; and the food was so delicious. We had heard it can get quite busy so we made a reservation a week ahead of time. Good news and bad news when we got there; bad news was they had no record of our reservation, good news was we got there early... More

This restaurant opened several years ago and I understand the hype. Our meals were delicious , the guacamole is fresh and it's BYOB. You can bring your own drinks, they just charge $5. It's still worth it considering what you would pay otherwise. The food is very reasonably priced. Atmosphere is fun with graffiti on the walls and an intimate... More
