Thought I had lunch in Bogata!

Since I have been staying in Lakewood at least 2 times a month, I hadn't ventured out very much for the lunch or dinner scene. Usually on every stay, I would visit Cosumel and Quaker Steak only. Since I deeply miss my time in South America, especially Ecuador and Peru and a little time in Columbia... read more

Great food. They are also able to accommodate particular dietary needs. Lots of gluten-free choices. Everything is made fresh and everything is made to order. We were there for lunch so it was not packed and we did not have a wait. The service was exceptional--friendly, helpful. Everyone seemed genuinely excited that we loved the food. It is so much... Delicious and different South American food served by a friendly staff. We enjoyed several great appetizers, wonderful Areapas with multiple sauces brought to the table and BYOB. Fun change from Burgers, and our server told us a patio is opening this summer!

If you're looking for something different and not a chain restaurant this is the place for you. Everything ia authentic Latin American fair and made freah Be sure you get the cheesy corn chicken appetizer. Its good enough to be ita own meal.

This unassuming but vibrant Areperia is worth traveling to--there is simply no place like it in Cleveland. An eclectic Latin flair permeates everything from the upbeat music, to the dark eyed servers, to the ubiquitous plantains creatively incorporated into their menu…we might as well have been in Miami…or Columbia! Most famous for their arepas (white hominy corn grilled pockets made... More

Fantastic food, but always a horrible wait. Been twice and ended up having to take food to go to make it to a show at the Beck Center. Don't plan to go to Barroco if you have to be somewhere else after.... I'm gonna try one more time and know third time will be a charm because I will go... More

We dropped in here on a recommendation and by seeing some great reviews online. They serve Columbian cuisine along with bits of fusion from other Latino countries (Cuba, Mexico). I must say, the service is great, but we were both quite disappointed in the food. We were greeted by a really friendly fellow who sat us at our table. The... More

We have been to Barroco grill at least ten times over the last few years. We live in North Royalton so a pretty decent hike, but well worth it. I've loved everything I've eaten here. The Cheesy Corn appetizer is a must have, I usually ask them to add chorizo to this..which makes it decadent. You cannot go wrong with... More

So I'd been itching to try Barroco, given my love for plantains (maduros). We went on a whim and I've found that kind of restaurant for which you crave the food (and would venture out in a blizzard - it's that GOOD). The staff is friendly and patient with your questions, considering many could possibly be unfamiliar the Latin terminology.... More

Loved the sauce choices and the arepas! Cheese corn was excellent! Cute and cozy environment too! Decent prices with the amount of food you received!
