A welcome stop along the highway

This little family-owned business is located just of Rt. 90, between Geneva and the Pennsylvania line; just past Conneaut. Located across the street from a truck stop, it is not a fancy place, but a great place to stop for homemade food; reasonably priced! Friends who live in Conneaut introduced us... read more

Visited as it is very close to home. Decided to order specials since usually that is a good bet at most restaurants. We were surprised that frozen fries was an option for the fish special. The fish was obviously frozen and was overcooked which really dried it out. The home cut fries were greasy. The coconut bourbon flatiron was pretty... More

Very friendly people and the best sausage gravy and biscuits around. Have eaten lunch and dinner there also and have never been disappointed

Our party of eight stopped got breakfast and they where very fast to setup a few tables for us. The server was nice and our food was out in not time at all. We where all happy with our breakfast and the price we paid. I can see why Kay's has a good reputation with the locals.

We flew from California to Buffalo NY. After spending a few days at Niagara Falls, we rented a car to start our road trip to Chicago. We did not have any planned stops and were very happy to find Kay's Place. Very quaint. Possibly a house converted to a restaurant. Friendly workers. Excellent BBQ pulled port sandwich and hamburger. So... More

We've stopped at Kay's on more than on occasion. Very close to Route 90. The food is all scratch, and the portions are more than ample. Dinner size portions, even at lunch. Their barbecue is yummy! This restaurant is dated in decor, but top notch on quality and kind service.

I was looking for not just eggs for breakfast. Maybe some sausage gravy or potatoes or ham and bacon. Well Kay's has just what I needed; a skillet with its bottom covered with an egg then some bacon and diced ham covered with potatoes and cheese and the whole thing topped with sausage gravy. Now that's a breakfast! We also... More

On our trip to Cincinnati we were cruising down I90 and were hungry so stopped for dinner. Parking lot full so had high expectations but left disappointed. My perch had more breading then fish and the mashed potato and gravy combo was bland. My wife's Cobb salad seemed like it was poured out of a bagged iceberg lettuce mix. Deserts... More

I want to thank you for your feedback. When the situation was brought to my attention I immediately alerted our kitchen manager. Since we do all of our own hand breading it was apparent that someone new had done the breading. After locating the problem we were able to restart the process and correct the problem. I am sorry for... More

As many have thus far attested, this is fine cozy place for good food. Here it's all about the food and service. A place setting for approximately 20 groups, the facility is separated into two halves. The service is quick and the food timing is reasonable. The portions are adequate and the price is a bit more given similar competitors.... More
