Maybe it was because my kids and I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon...but we were NOT impressed with The Village Pump. For starters, we were seated at a table with a nice view, but plenty of dead bugs stuck in the window behind my oldest son. He did NOT like that. Second, it was DEAD in there, DEAD but the... More

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere! Great Brandy Alexander's, great Friday night Perch dinner, great bartenders and a high-5 from Gary and his warm smile. Crummy wine, mediocre draft beer, but the people and food make up for it. Daily lunch specials are really a great value.

If you go, you need to try one! Food good as well. Love the green beans and perch. If you get the perch sandwich and don't like onions, be sure to tell them to hold them! Bar staff always nice.

Fast and friendly service, with a laid back attitude. The perch is most likely the best around, although we didn't have it anywhere else. Nice thick cut fries which were crispy! Excellent Brandy Alexander! If you go it is a must. Very nice experience overall.

My family and I had never been to Kelleys Island so we decided to make a 1/2 day trip there. After playing on the beach and picking up shells and splashing in the Lake, we rented a golf gart and drove around checking out the area. After a busy day and waiting for the ferry to pick us up we... More

After reading other reviews on the perch and brandy alexanders, I wish I had tried those as well, but the lobster chowder is another Village Pump specialty and it was also a fantastic choice. Don't worry about not filling up. It's packed with veggies and lobster in a perfectly seasoned creamy base. My husband's hamburger was also excellent.

This local bar and restaurant serves some of the best perch you could every eat. Along with that, you can get yourself one of their famous brandy alexanders. Be very careful. These drinks go down like a great milkshake and hit you when you least expect it! They are scrumptuous! Everyone is friendly and in the happy island mood when... More

Love the room that is dedicated to marked down merchandise. It was suppose to be warm the day we went but it wasn't brrrrr. Stopped in at the Village Pump and found some great bargains on good quality sweat shirts marked down.

Stopped in for lunch on our day trip to Kelley's Island - delicious perch and walleye! Big portions, yummy variation of traditional tartar sauce. Enough fries to feed a herd. A bit pricy, but we're on vacation so we're OK with splurging a little...and let's face it, there's nothing like fresh fish. Not crowded, but it was a Monday. Nice... More
