I can't speak for the food, but my wife and I stopped in twice for Brandy Alexanders during our recent camping trip to Kelley's Island. The drinks were amazing and the service was friendly. It was also nice to get away from the touristy feel of some of the other establishments and get to experience why locals go to the... More

We were on Kelley's island for a day trip. When we were ready for lunch, I checked tripadvisor for the best restaurant on the island and found that it was the Village Pump. I got the Lobster Chowder ($10) and kids got a personal pizza ($8.95) and the Walleye Bites ($14.95). The chowder was really good--I did find several big... More

The brandy alexander's are the best! The food was very good and you can't beat the atmosphere. It is a hopping place and everyone seems to love the specialty drink there.

We had lunch at the Village Pump. It is a fun, happy bar type atmosphere with lots of fun character in my humble opinion. We were told to get the fried perch sandwich. My wife and I both got one and had one order of the wedge pump fries. Oh man was it great. The portions were big. We could... More

Loved the atmosphere, food, and service here. I enjoyed reading about the history of the building and the restaurant. Definitely a great place to stop in and eat when you're visiting.

If you go to The Village Pump, you have to order a pitcher of Brandy Alexanders. Best anywhere! If you are hungry, the food is great too. I have had the burgers before and they are outstanding, but had the perch this time and was just as good! Great place to stop and relax, right by the boat dock!

Love the Brandy Alexanders, and a trip is just not complete without one. I've been here several times before, and have enjoyed the food, as well. On Saturday, though, one of the servers gave us some serious attitude about taking a table to drink (no seating was available at the bar, but several tables were empty). We assured her that... More

Maybe it was because my kids and I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon...but we were NOT impressed with The Village Pump. For starters, we were seated at a table with a nice view, but plenty of dead bugs stuck in the window behind my oldest son. He did NOT like that. Second, it was DEAD in there, DEAD but the... More

Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere! Great Brandy Alexander's, great Friday night Perch dinner, great bartenders and a high-5 from Gary and his warm smile. Crummy wine, mediocre draft beer, but the people and food make up for it. Daily lunch specials are really a great value.
