From the outside I thought the Wine Company would be a swanky place. It isn't. Inside I found a linoleum floor, aluminum laminated tables, and almost a diner vibe. But the food is definitely not diner food. I had a vineyard salad that had lettuce, tomatoes, grapes, and a balsamic dressing. This was followed by sea scallops wrapped in bacon... More

On our annual visit to Kelley's Island, we always stop by the winery in the afternoon to recharge our batteries with numerous excellent wine choices and delicious snack trays. There are several play areas that do a good job of entertaining the kids and let the adults enjoy visiting with each other. A stop that I recommend if on Kelly's... More

We usually visit here once a vacation and enjoy our time here. Very often there will not be any tables outside, but I would recommend you sit there if you can. We usually get a wine tasting tray with the different wines on it along with a cheese tray. You can sit and taste wines as long as you like.... More

It was not a good night the Sunday night we were there before the circus arrived to the island. Took 1 hour to get 2 glasses of wine and a cheese plate. The apple slices were dark brown and the brie was cold. Yes I could have asked to replace it if I wanted to wait another hour and it... More

I have not tried the food here and the inside area is kind of small and dark. However, I say this winery is nice for sitting outside and drinking wine with friends. The wine is decent (as far as island wines go, which tend to taste a lot like concord grape juice) and priced around 16 a bottle.

We visited twice over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday evenings) for dinner with a group of 5-7 friends. The place has great charm, and friendly staff. However, more clearly stated "kitchen hours" would be helpful to guests planning their trip. We were politely pushed along on Sunday, and would have come earlier had we known the kitchen hours. We loved... More

This is a nice place to stop for a snack or meal and some local wine. Prices are a little high, but it is an island and tourist season is only 4 months long, so they have to charge more to stay in business. Pizzas and meat cheese trays looked very tasty- The meat and cheese tray was $14.50. Glasses... More

The winery used to be a good place to visit when on KI. It has gone down hill significantly over the past year. Dirty, poorly kept grounds, sangria average. Servers overworked. Will avoid in the future.

Make sure to stop in at the winery for the afternoon. Live band, good food. They have a barbecue area open to the public, they also sell meat/buns if you want to cook something up. Fun time!
