Good local pizza place

My husband lived in Huron many years ago and they loved the Sand Bar. 20 years later we still have to go when we are in Huron. Yes, it is a dive and you need to follow the little signs to find it as it appears you are driving into a neighborhood (which you are). It is kind of dive,... read more

This place has amazing food and the best Pizza in town. They don't skimp on the cheese... I usually eat 4-5 slices, here I can only eat 2! Very filling pizza, very good!! Wish we lived closer, I would eat there weekly.

Pizza for sure, favorite is the steak and three cheese. But don't stop there. The Anchor Burger is a great sandwich as is the perch. They have daily specials that are usually plentiful tasty dishes. Fries are nice ask for extra crispy do the same when ordering wings. Always plenty of beers and soft drinks.

Good home style food here, service is good too, as long as they are not that busy. Prices are average. Close to the beach as well. Pizza is worth the wait!

This place was recommended to us by locals & we are glad we listened, the perch was awesome! I live that they have malt vinegar on the table for your homemade French fries, will definitely go back. Very laid back atmosphere, bet it's fun on a Friday or Saturday night!

The place is a dive, service and food is mediocre, and the waitress was less than honest in "calculating" our check. As a bar, they need a better beer menu. Also, there is not enough parking and was at risk of getting ticketing and towed parking in the only available street spots outside the restaurant. Would recommend eating elsewhere.

The menu changes on a daily basis and consists of average tasting meals. The menu is what one would expect from a neighborhood tavern. I must say, the pizza was above average, and is the best item on the menu. A good reasonable priced venue.

You can get a Lake Erie perch sandwich, dinner or by the pound and it is always cooked perfectly. The Anchor Pie pizza is so loaded with toppings, you can only eat one piece! They have terrific homemade soup everyday, specials that make it too cheap to cook at home but I'm the biggest fan of their burgers. My girlfriend's... More
