We ordered the hibachi shrimp & steak dinner prepared in front of us and were very disappointed. The unfriendly waitress quickly placed bowls of plain white rice on the cold granite counter in front of us . After a 5 minute wait we were served the expected cup of soup ( average quality). Time passed as the rice got cold... More

The jalapeño papa is so good that we have to have it about once a week. We've tried other sushi bars but nothing has ever compared. Chris, Jason or Kuma are our favorites. You will not be disappointed. Just tell them what you like and let them create the magic..especially Chris. It's where I chose to go for my birthday!

Otani is a typical teppanyaki restaurant, good once in awhile for a group dinner. The sushi was of good quality so I could see myself going for sushi only.

We only eat sushi at Otani. The quality the last few months has improved alot. Service is slow on most occasions. However, if you ask the Sushi cooks to do something unique, they will try and usually succeed. Very good food on the Sushi end. The sushi chefs are very kid friendly.

This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The service is always good. The sushi and sashimi are always fresh and there is a lot of variety! We have not tried the hibachi yet but plan to do so soon.

I have been a faithful follower of Otani ever since they opened in Hudson. However, experiences over the past 9 months have been poor. Seems like when they moved to the larger facility and lost Tomoko the service has been horrendous. Went to lunch there on Friday 12/14. Arrived at noon, sat at a table with another person. Our order... More

I am a regular at Otani, both at the old location and the new one. This is really a qualified review - it is for the Sushi (not the Hibachi). To begin with, we were introduced to sushi at Shohei (forgive the misspelling) in Beachwood about 15 years ago. It was an amazing experience, and we were hooked. But after... More

We went there with another couple and sat at a table near the hibachi grill and were not impresed. Cold food, indifferent service. If we go back we will try to sit at the grill.

New in Hudson, but an offshoot of the Otani in Mayfield which has been around for 30 years, this place has got it goin' on: sushi bar, steakhouse grill with performing chefs, and a separate bar room which has live music on weekends. The few times we've been here, we've left happy -- the food was great! It is a... More

Excellent sushi - Chef Chris provides excellent and individualized customer service. He even created a special sushi not on the menu for us to try and it was not only delicious but pretty. The tempura fried Oreo cookie is must have dessert.
