Great wine tasting and meal

Winery wine tasting is usually more about the interaction with the staff than the wines. To this end Emma (I think) was fantastic. Made us feel welcome, knowledgeable about wines, but knew her limitations and didn't try and make up answers. Wine variety is excellent, wine quality is... read more

Out last two experiences have been really disappointing. On both occasions the person who appeared to be the manager was very rude. On the first occasion, in pelting rain and with a newborn baby, he forced us to return to our car to move it because he apparently 'could not fit into the car park the 150 people about to... More

Winery wine tasting is usually more about the interaction with the staff than the wines. To this end Emma (I think) was fantastic. Made us feel welcome, knowledgeable about wines, but knew her limitations and didn't try and make up answers. Wine variety is excellent, wine quality is variable. Remarkably good dining.

We headed off to Shadofax Winery for Tuesday lunch. Even though they apologised there was a limited menu on Monday/Tuesday at lunch, we ended up with one of the best lunches we have experienced in the area. Our waitress was outstanding with her knowledge and advice on how to combine various meals. The three of us simply shared the chorizo... More

Visited the winery restaurant for lunch as part of a day tour in Werribee Park. They have a decent menu with accompanying wines to match. While no wine connoisseur, I definitely enjoyed the glass that matched my meal & appreciative of the waitress who looked after me, despite it being busy. Wouldn't mind visiting again to try more of their... More

What feels like a story book - down a dark dark road - and the end of a tree covered trail is the most amazing building that is the Shadowfax Winery Restaurant and Wine room - Sunday's Jazz and lovely food make this an easy stop.

Visited the restaurant to take part in lunch that we had been looking forward to for a while and was not disappointed. Normally they do not open Monday and Tuesday in winter but had decided to with a limited menu. Although the choices were limited the food did not disappoint us. The waiting staff were attentive without being intrusive. A... More

I have dined here three times over the last four years. The food is excellent - on the pricey side for a café experience - but for me the dining here has always been dominated by the hectic nature of the establishment. We ordered salt and pepper calamari and a side salad of chick peas. Both dishes were terrific. It... More

We stopped in here for a late lunch on Saturday - it was 2:00pm and the place was packed. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait for a table which was okay because we took the opportunity to participate in some wine tasting along with about 10 others who were also waiting for tables. We were informed... More

Excellent location for eating outside in the warmer months and toasty warm inside. Great ambiance and excellent food. Wines are wonderful and there is usually a live artist performing.

My partner and I visited Shadowfax Winery for the wine tasting and the gentleman serving us/ talking us through the types of wine was fantastic. His service was great and helped us discover what our tastebuds preferred. We will definitely be back for lunch and maybe another bottle or two :)
