Fresh and tasty

All our meals were fresh and very tasty and cooked well. Set up of bistro a bit strange but service was good and staff friendly. Kudos to chef for making his own aioli and sauces most enjoyable meal

The Wharf Hotel is one of three hotels in Wynyard. Known by locals as the "bottom pub". This is just a reference to its location and not a critique of the quality. Meals are generous and good value for money. Fresh local produce is used in all meals. Service is fast and friendly and the dining area gives a good... More

A handy hotel on the edge of the city, and adjacent to the wharf area on the river. Good Pub Food, with reasonable Bistro style service. A very busy place.

This is a pub-style dining room where you place your orders at the counter and then order drinks from the bar. Obviously popular with families and very busy. Good choice of menu and reasonably priced. But the platefuls were huge and I wasted some. The food was hot and well cooked. I think it would be nice if they offered... More

Really yummy food, and a great spot on the balcony overlooking the wharf. Large meals which kept everyone happy. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I stayed two nights in Wynyard, so on the first night we went to the Wharf for dinner. I had a T-Bone with chips and salad, the serving size was excellent and the steak cooked to perfection. My wife had the vegetable frittata with salad which she was also very impressed with. The prices were also very... More

Called in for dinner the other night and whilst the food was quite large in serving size it was quite average in quality. The scallops were over cooked as was my chicken parmigiana. They seemed to be understaffed as well. The hotel it self is quite pleasant and the beer is cold. I just felt that it offered nothing to... More

At the moment it would have to rank as my favourite Pub in the North West Tas. It has really good menu choices, huge serves and well priced. Very efficient staff and service taking the orders and food is tasty as well. The window seats give a lovely window frontage onto the Inglis River and sets off a nice ambience.... More

Okay so we're in a fishing village and my hubby was hanging out for fish and chips. The fish WAS very fresh, but the batter a little tired. I ordered frittata with vegetables (main course size) and was disappointed with the quality of the frittata. The menu also said it was served with root vegetables and I was picturing carrots,...
