Unexpected delight

This very basic cafe is situated at the foot of a spectacular rock called "the nut" and has some lovely views. It also offers generous beautifully cooked simple meals served with a smile. I have never before had fettuccine with prawns where the were more prawns than pasta, fabulous. My friends had... read more

I initially was sceptical. So often cafes at amazing locations trade heavily on location and seem not to feel the need to match it with service. The Nut Cafe is the exception. We had a great view, I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee with scones with jam and cream and the people were lovely.

Food was fairly good (although a bit overpriced), and most of our meals were served in a reasonable time frame, but we were the only people eating here at the time and the staff managed to forget all of our drinks except for one, and one of our meals! Pretty ridiculous that they’re unable to use simple common sense to... More

Thank you for your review. I have spoken to our team and no one is able to verify that this review is genuine. We are a small team and remember all of our customers and work hard to ensure their needs are met. There are some inconsistencies in this review which also make me sceptical. So for other trip advisor... More

Four of us piled in there for lunch without booking and luckily there was a table for us in this busy little restaurant. The food was great, service excellent and friendly. There is a good size car park with some great views over Stanley. It has a food counter and souvenir shop. The former tempted us and we bought some... More

there was good food featured on a diverse menu that was open to change if needed. The staff were friendly and willing to assist. The food was simply divine and the home made cakes were of a high standard. It is a shame that it is not advertised more as it is a good find and definitely worth your time,... More

Great location for grabbing a bite or drink; however I found their prices so very overwhelming. Good views over the town

The restaurant is basic, but the food was wonderful. The portions were very generous and delicious.
