Without exaggeration this was the best fish and chip we had in whole Australia. We have been hesitating choosing the fish but the lady in the shop definitely recommended the local gummy. She also said if we are not happy, she will pay back the price. It was fresh, white, flaky and tasteful, I still feel it in my mouth.... More

Fresh high quality crayfish fresh off the boat and freshly cooked. Succulent and nice, we got one to take away. Go during summer for a bigger range of crayfish sizes and lowere prices. Friendly helpful staff, beautiful view from restaurant/cafe upstairs.

My " fisherman basket" was not what to be expected fresh local seafoods....It was more like from a packet of seafoods mixed you get from the super market. We went to this place on a Sunday. The sign told us it was open at 11am, the open sign was out and it told us that take away's were upstairs. It was 11.25am and we were after an early lunch before departing the town. We went upstairs and attempted to order but we were told that they were not... More

Fresh seafood my foot. Despite having a fleet of trawlers and cray boats there is no fresh seafood to be had. The closed to the public fresh section appears to have holding tanks for crays presumably for the export market. Had to go upstairs into the restaurant to order take away. Had to wait a long time as they cook... More

This first floor cafe style restaurant is a memorium to Patrick Hursey a young fisherman who was lost at sea attempting to rescue an adventurer attempting to row across Bass Strait. (O hear us when we cry to Thee for those in peril on the sea.). I was provided an excellent meal of Tasmanian scallops. For $20 I was served... More

Have never had worse fish and chips. Will never buy from here again. Fish had no taste and was overpriced. Batter on fish had a weird taste. Wouldn't have thought it was that hard to cook something so basic.

They served huge portions of lovely, well cooked food...however we found the prices too high ($52 for fish, chips, onion rings, 6 scallops and a salad). Excellent service though. :)
