Wonderful little shop and eatery

Touchwood had some of the most beautiful and unusual craftwork we had seen in our travels. My friend was from interstate and "bought up big" as she loves our unique Tasmanian crafts. E also ate lunch here and had some excellent soup with prompt and friendly service.

Had dinner here while visiting stanley, ordered the Prawns in Pasta, well what a magnificent meal with probably the pasta i have ever eaten, when i asked about the pasta i was told the chief prides himself on making his own pasta and sets himself high standards.. well i can vouch for it truly magnificent.

A small cafe/restaurant, with views. Excellent & friendly service. It was hard to choose from the menu because everything sounded so good, and we were not disappointed. One of our best dining experiences, with creative and yummy food. Worth a repeat visit.

If you feel like a lush, creamy scrambled eggs with sourdough and real red tomatoes and mushrooms, this is your place. The coffee and tea are equally good, and you look out over the roofs of Stanley. Good, friendly service

Had afternoon tea here and have previously had a meal in this cafe. Afternoon coffee was great and the cake even better. View is terrific, service and friendliness of staff was also well above average. Overall a pleasant and enjoyable experience; if in Stanley certainly visit this cafe. The cafe adjoins a shop which has an extensive range of Tasmanian... More

Food is very average. There are better places in town. Overpriced food. Limited menu. Found this place on trip advisor and by the comments and rating thought would be good but very very disappointed.

Thank you for your review. For your first and only review on Trip Advisor, you certainly went for the jugular! With over 30 selections on our menu daily, between 8-10 cakes all made by us using fresh, local produce, we are all bemused by your comment 'limited menu' and we genuinely think you have mistaken us for another venue or... i gave a review before and rated this establishment well however I would like to upgrade it as I thought I was a little tough on atmosphere. The food is really good and the coffee very decent, which is important to me.I've found coffee in Tasmania is generally unacceptable, this place is good. Good service.

Had scones here for afternoon tea and they were absolutely delicious, so light. Would return here for them. Prompt and very friendly service. Beautiful views over Stanley.

Thank you for your review. People often ask us how we make the scones so light, but Michael won't reveal his secrets! But teamed with our hand picked and home made berry jam and lovely fresh cream, they are delicious and we must admit we do have to sample one each day ourselves! See you next time! More

As a visitor to Tasmania and Stanley I relied on a local friend for a recommendation. What a lovely place in the quaint little settlement of Stanley. It was a busy Sunday but the service was quick and attentive and the food delicious. Very high quality food at a reasonable price. My local flake with dill sauce was divine. Highly... More
