For entrée we ordered the sour dough bread and the scallops. The bread was delicious and you get dippings as well. The scallops were cooked perfectly and had a beautiful flavor. The serving sizes are generous also which is great. For main we had the pork belly and the chicken dish. The pork belly... read more

We discovered this restaurant driving passed and decided to go for dinner. We were not disappointed. The service was wonderful, attentive and helpful. The food was just wonderful. We had 2 different fish dishes for mains and both were very tasty and beautifully cooked. Entree was delicious and the desserts were sensational. All in all the night was very enjoyable.... More

My partner and I and young infant son had lunch at the Blue Shed earlier this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the moment we walked in we felt at ease and welcomed. Being Winter it was a very quiet day with only a few people in the restaurant, even so the service delivered was excellent. Scallops and squid for... More

My partner and I loved our meals at blue shed. We recommend it highly. We shared delicious sweet scallops as entree and both had fish for main, which was cooked to perfection.

My son and I stopped here not realising it was the top-rated restaurant in St Helens. We can see why - our food (scallops and harpuka) was imaginatively and beautifully cooked, and Irena was warm, welcoming and happy to explain the menu, go through our options, and pass on local information. Thoroughly recommended.

Tonight my partner and I returned to the blue shed for a second time! (Our first time was only two weeks ago) We shared the squid, I had the pork belly and my partner had the fish of the day and we shared the chocolate fondant for dessert! Everything was delicious, the only thing I could fault was that I... More

This location has loads of potential. A bit of outdoor seating, a laid back approach to dining, could really take advantage of this quaint position overlooking a bunch of small fishing boats. Instead an overpriced menu and some pushy service makes you feel like it's about time to leave, the whole time. If the paddle boat next door had a... More

my boyfriend and I stopped by St Helens on the way through from Freycinet to Launceston, and had heard St Helens is known for the best seafood on the East Coast. We stopped for a short lunch (that turned into a long lunch) on a weekday. Cannot recommend Blue Shed and their staff highly enough. We ate amazing lobster and... More

Yesterday, my girl friend and I dined there based on 2 local's recommendation. Firstly, the service was on point. Very prompt, friendly and Amy was clearly optimised for efficiency. Food was possibly the best we've tasted in Tasmania, it puts food from Salamanca Hobart to shame. We ordered the St Helens Oysters, simply amazing and the glacier is so crisp... More

We stumbled across this restaurant when we arrived in St Helens and we could not have been more impressed by what we found! The food was served promptly, the waitress was very helpful and the food was exceptional. Highly recommend ordering the seafood dishes, the cheese platter was the best I've ever had (!!) and all of the bread was... More

Dear Berna B, thankyou for your review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your meal and Tasmanian Cheese Platter. The bread however is made by an a local artisinal bread maker called Levenbank. Levenbank bread can be purchased from Coffee Away in the centre of St. Helens. Kind Regards Blue Shed More
