The view from the restaurant is the only thing worth while... It was the most limited menu I have ever encountered and extremely overpriced close to 30 dollars for flathead and chips... Seriously go to the boat about 50 metres up and save yourself money

Four of us from the Gold Coast travelled around Tasmania in March this year. While in St Helens we had dinner at the BLUE SHED,we all said the food was the best in Tassie, supported by informative and friendly staff. As we are all lovers of seafood we would recommend the Blue Shed to anyone to visit and enjoy as... More

We were very pleasantly surprised on all counts ie service, quality and variety of food and ambience when we spent a very pleasant evening at the end of a long day of driving,at the beautifully fitted out Blue Shed, St Helen's. Perfectly planned with its floor to ceiling windows overlooking the water. Our small group of four were served quickly... More

My husband and I went to Blue Shed after seeing a $40 set menu advertised and expected that the meals would perhaps be a slightly smaller size or more 'basic' than their standard menu. Absolutely not! We were so surprised to see fabulous meals presented to us that were full of flavour and generous in size. The freshness of the... More

This is the second time we have visited The Blue Shed and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great. Sipping our wine and looking out over the water ......what more could you want? We live in Queensland and if we ever manage to get back to Tasmania we will definitely be visiting The Blue... More

Had an excellent anniversary dinner here. Not cheap but excellent quality. Very fresh seafood served in an attractive presentation.

The Blue Shed, St Helens, Tas. Can I just say, don't bother. We booked for 13 people with a set menu. 40 dollars per head for a three course meal. Turned up at 6.30, we were seated. Took them a good 45 minutes to offer us drinks, and they did so without giving us a wine list. We had to... More

We drove all the way from Swansea to have lunch at this highly recommended restaurant. Don't bother! On arrival the young waitress was pleasant. We were given the lunch menu which consisted of only 6 main courses. We asked the price of Rock Lobster - nearly keeled over when she told us $200 per kilo and the smallest they had... More

Terrific little restaurant, beautiful setting and delicious food which was worth the money paid. Try the calamari, their signature dish... superb.
