Beautiful old home turned into a restaurant

My husband and I stayed the night in Anabels motel and had dinner in the restaurant. We were looked after and had a beautiful meal. The setting is just lovely and it's very quite. Would be happy to visit the restaurant again.

From fillet steaks to seafood, the food was prepared beautifully and tasted magnificent. All local produce and local beers and wines. Owners, Andrea and Sean were great hosts and whilst such food can be expensive, it wasn't here. No need to consider dining anywhere else whilst we were in Scottsdale.

twowheeltours stopped in at Anabel's on the way from Bridport to Weldbrough. What a meal! The chicken, PORK, fish, cheese and quail were absolutely amazing. I write PORK in capitals because it was the best we've ever eaten. This is THE place to stop and eat when passing through Scottsdale.

We went here for a birthday dinner and it was great! I had the steak, which was delicious, but the gnocci was also a winner on our table. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely go there again.

Wow, this was a gem! We stayed 2 nights here in a relaxing, warm, very comfortable room. The restaurant meals and service were excellent. High praise to the chef and wait staff there. Thanks to the friendly owners for making this home a lovely accommodation place to share with travellers.

Great meal. Many interesting choices. Shame my plate was badly cracked on one corner. Well patronised. There were guests from other B&Bs which is quite an accolade.

I ate here twice last week and was amazed. We had a group of 9 hungry mountain bikers from around Australia stay and eat. As the only Tasmanian I was proud of the food quality and service produced in this country town. The only problem any of us had was deciding what to order. The prices are lower than in... More
